Suicide Note is fucking stellar. Both parts.
That Power Metal album is fucking killer. It's a shame they felt like they had to "forget" it after Cowboys came out. Also, the earlier albums with that other singer, whatshisface, weren't THAT bad either. I mean, it's still Dime on guitar and Vinnie on drums.

Comparing Cemetery Gates to Fade to Black is one thing but saying Hollow, Suicide Note Part One and Floods are all better than it?
Hollow has a nice acoustic riff for the first few minutes, rest of the song I don't care for.
Floods has an amazing outro but I don't even remember the first 5 minutes of the song.
Suicide Note has some nice acoustic strumming as Phil sings over the top telling us how much of a man he is...or somethin like dat.
Fade to black has a great acoustic part, one of the best Metallica riffs ever halfway through the song and an awesome outro solo that is consistently mentioned near the top of "Best solo ever" lists. I just don't see how you guys think these Pantera songs are better. Maybe you've heard Fade too much and its become just another song you got sick of. Just sit down and give it a proper listen and appreciate it for the masterpiece it is. OR I WILL KILL YOU.

The song needs that part so it can come back to the slower more mellow part. Ya can't go from a mellow slow part back to another mellow slow part. Do you know anything about song structure Sic Jes!? DO YOU!?

Nope, that riff is completely unnecessary. Going from the killer pinch harmonic riff back into the mellow part would work better, or another bouncy riff that sounds less happy then the one I'm not a fan of.

I love every song on Cowboys, it’s my favourite Pantera album.
The main riff in Medicine Man reminds me of Predator.

Crossing my fingers that Phil doesn't try to stir up some sort of "reunion" show as a tribute for the brothers. Given their relationship and the fact that they more or less were the band, it would be pretty inappropriate. But something I can see happening as a cash grab.
