Ihsahn has pretty much said that Emperor will never make new music again. There would be no point. I'm sure glad they're playing more shows though. Never got to see them before. In April I do!

Speaking of DSO, had "Fas Ite..." playing on my car for a week or two, I was annoyed by how low the guitars are. They almost always get out of pauses by doing those hyper fast drum beats and it completely drowns the guitars, which are already thin and nervy in tone, and so need not be so underpowered.

I guess Primordial is the only BM related band I follow. And only the newer albums that is. I'm thnking about seeing Behemoth next month. I have seen them live once and I don't consider myself a fan but it should be a fun gig anyway. I'm a fan of Ihsahn but his music is way broader than BM. Even though I don't listen to them at all, Emperor were great( I know they had few concerts but is there any new music?). Another band name that I keep reading about is Taake. Honestly I don't know much about them. Emperor musically quit in 2001 for a reason. Musical differences. They play shows for money. Of course never say never, I just wouldn't hold on to the possibility of new Emperor music. Gotta give it to them to a degree, there is money there in them making new music and yet they don't do it. Musical integrity vs. poor business decisions. I think they look at it as they can never further tarnish their legacy. Just play shows on that legacy and make some money. I see. Well, fair enough. Ihsahn looks like a guy who is mroe interested in doing his own thing while showing respect to his past. |

Another good one that came out a month or so ago.
Apparently the band name, and lyrics are based on the Demon's/Dark Souls games, among other games.
