I'm definitely interested in hearing what they're doing with Death Magnetic. Could they actually make it listenable? Someone here helped me out obtaining the iTunes version of DM - sounds good man, get on it. Yeah, I've heard it, and I have various good versions of DM on my computer. I'm just wondering if the guys will finally eat some humble pie, admit they fucked it up and release a proper version on CD.

Seriously though, who actually paid £150 for those deluxe boxes? Daylight robbery.

Moderus stuff is pretty good too which is what you are probably referring to there. But yes, I'm keen to see what they do with DM and St Anger too for that matter. We got a while to wait though

I haven't LM and i don't intend to, once you have the original album in your hands everything else is window dressing. That's why i also go easy on the Metallica merch. It's just a money making scheme.

Maybe with garage inc. We'll get a longer version of the last track/jam of that song that fades out.

I mean I love hearing new old unheard stuff like that (previously unreleased songs, demos and outtakes mostly....the live songs are cool but not essential). The nerd in me is over the moon usually.

It'll be on Spotify/Youtube soon enough LM, the only thing worth getting that they've recently released is that Back to Front book which i'll probably buy now that the price has gone down.

Personally, I couldn't care less about demos or outtakes. Previously unreleased songs would be nice, if they were actual proper songs and not shitty instrumental demo recordings. I'll take any Presidio stuff when the time comes for the St. Anger remaster, though.

The song was on their short list of songs to cover but never made the cut.....did they ever record a full version, I do not know? Original: My daughter took a photo of the bridge for me when she visited Venice

Waiting for the Garage Days vinyl to arrive, but listening to the remaster on Apple Music, man I haven’t listed to the studio versions of these songs for years. SO GOOD.

I wonder how many people will get it on cassette. I got the email that it was released today and saw it was also available in cassette. There are people today who don't know what that is and that's sad cause it wasn't that long ago. I had a whole briefcase full of cassettes when I was younger.

20-25 years ago is a long time ago.
My kids flip when I take them to my dads house. VCR cassettes, tapes, records, fishing rods...yeah I'm sure 99% of the kids now a days have no idea what a fishing rod is. Sad stuff.

Yeah cassettes are shit in terms of audio quality and the hassle of selecting a song you want but there is something nice about the warm glow of a cassette deck and seeing the tape spin around. I bought a cheap cassette deck off ebay and added it to my hifi system just cos it looks nice and I occasionally get tapes from op shop stores for like 50 cents and listen to them on it.

Waiting for the Garage Days vinyl to arrive, but listening to the remaster on Apple Music, man I haven’t listed to the studio versions of these songs for years. SO GOOD. Same for me - I ordered the pic disc and hoping it arrives today. My longbox CD arrived on Friday but yet to open it. This album is a favourite of mine for sure, takes me back to great days 20-25 years ago is a long time ago. My kids flip when I take them to my dads house. VCR cassettes, tapes, records, fishing rods...yeah I'm sure 99% of the kids now a days have no idea what a fishing rod is. Sad stuff. Get this... Mate of mine went fishing with a friend of his who brought along his drone and a screen. HE then watched this guy attach his hook and bait to the drone, sent it out over the water and used his screen to locate fish activity and with a press of a button, drop his hook into the river. WTF? Kinda takes the fun out of fishing? Its the new way to cast. Drone also delivered (dropped) a beer to the friend in the kayak

The only Metallica album i've bought more than once was the TBA CD which became scratched to shit. I intend to keep it that way.
