I took the plunge today. We have a bit of money put aside doing nothing so after lots of internal debating I set up an account and bought in. If it turns to nought, I'll put it down to an expensive weekend, otherwise everything else is a bonus. General SmithersSmithers did you act?

Yes I did you cunt. How much did you put in? Coinbase was giving me the shits with their weekly limits so I moved over to coinspot.com.au I've not bought anymore bitcoin because it's not really doing much. Most people still think it will be about 100k by this time next year though. Instead I've been buying Litecoins because they're only about $400 - $500 at the moment but most people think they will be in the multiple thousands by next year. They leapt from about $129 to $500 in the space of a few weeks so I have no reason to doubt that Litecoin will be worth thousands next year. It has faster transaction times and cheaper fees so a lot of people will be buying it more next year as bitcoin continues to struggle with delayed transactions and ridiculous fees. I've also been trying to do some day trading with much cheaper coins like Ripple, NXT, IOTA, Verge, Ardor and Cardano. These are mostly hovering around under a dollar to 2 dollars. I bought $10 worth of verge the other day when it was at about 0.077278 cents and now it's gone to about 20 cents, making my investment go from $10 to $70 in a week. Makes me wish I put $1000 into it and I would have made thousands which I would have then used to buy more Litecoins. I suggest you take a look at www.coinspot.com.au/tradecoinsJust monitor the price changes of all those coins for a few weeks and get a feel for the market then decide what you want to invest in. Also watching vids like this helps:

Too bad the IRS is gonna regulate this shit soon in 'Murica, so a lot of that money you earned is gonna go to the government. Sucks. Hopefully it isn't as harsh so that type of currency can be viable and still float. We live in some weird times.

We live in some weird times. No joke, was anyone even having this conversations 10 years ago? There's so much bitcoin type info out there that it is tough to sift through - opinions, opinions, and more opinions

I'd only have spent it on beer anyway. Ripple is an interesting one. It seems to go up to about near $2.00 and then come back down to around $1. It has a huge amount of available coins so it's never gonna be worth what bitcoin is worth but there's definetley some profit to be made on it in the near future. It also is going to be used by banks soon to transfer money so it has legitimacy that other cryptos don't have but that's also why a lot of hardcore crypto people don't like it, they think the price will be manipulated by the banks. I bought about $200 worth of ripple at $1.00 and then it started dropping to 77c so I panicked and sold it at a loss. Should have held on. But the only way to learn is to lose money probably lol. Everything across the board was plunging in price today apart from Ripple. I took advantage and bought some more litecoin when it dipped to $340. What site are you using to buy?

I don't care about all those internet stories, does anyone really know someone who have made money from this ? I have this bloke at work who said his friend have made a million, but he haven't sold anything yet so he haven't earned balls. I'm curious about this, and if one of my good friends showed me the real money he have made from this, I would probably invest some too.

He probably hasn't sold it yet because the price is still going up and is predicted to keep going up for years. If I had made a million I would cash out at least half of it though and keep the other half invested. It's really easy to sell it because the demand it sky high at the moment. So your friend might just be bullshitting. I don't know anyone who has made money out of it, but that's because at the moment only 1 per cent of the population is even using cryptocurrency. That's predicted to increase to 3 per cent next year and it's going to be a crazy year in terms of price rises. But people have made fortunes out of it. Just because you don't personally know someone who has doesn't mean it's not true.

A coworker of mine put in €500 couple of weeks ago, it then went up to €1000 so he cashed out his initial investment of €500, and the rest is pure profit.
I bought only for €100 last week, to see where this shit was going, but it's a true bitch to buy BTC or anything else for that matter, since every site needs ID verification and whatnot. Which I'm not a big fan of.

One of my friends initially bought about 500 dollars worth of Bitcoin somewhere around 2013, and now his investments are worth about $500k. He tried to get me into it, too, but I feared it was a scam and chickened out. FML

So if I wanna invest 500 dollars, where do I go to ? coinbase.com is the usual site for beginners cos it's pretty simple and easy. They only sell four of the main types of crypto though, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum. They're adding more early next year though. But if you want to invest in some of the cheaper coins you'll have to look at other sites that are available in your region. Most of them have a pain in the ass verification system where you'll have to submit proof of identity documents but once you've done that you're good to go.

So I can't even afford one single bitcoin Of course you can't you silly cunt. But you can buy $500 worth of one and hope that next year it keeps going up. Or research the cheaper coins and buy a whole bunch of them. That's probably your best bet at the moment. There's a whole bunch of coins that are faster and better than bitcoin, which is just the slow, outdated first attempt at crypto and has many problems. You have to pick coins that have a great development team behind them though and preferably ones that are already forming partnerships with big companies. The team behind the IOTA coin recently made an announcement about a partnership with Microsoft. Their coin is unique in that the more people who use it, the faster it becomes. It's probably going to be huge next year and you can buy them for about $5 each at the moment. Other promising cheap coins include Cardano, EOS, OMG, Ardor, and Ripple. Or buy some Litecoin, it's already a well established coin and has some improvements coming up next year such as the Lightning network which will make it even faster. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this time next year all of those cheap coins I mentioned are worth hundreds or thousands of dollars each. When you get rich, just remember who told you about them, cunt.

I ain't got the time for researching all that stuff, I got a woman to please, food to eat, loads of beer and whine to drink. And I only got one week off from work. That's a tight schedule I tell ya, now earn me some money you silly cunt
