lol, Atlas Rise shits over the entirety of St. Anger. Nah, it's marginaly better than Invisible kid, agreed. On topic, I was listening to AJFA on the way to work today and then after the album finished my player just moves onto the next album, in this case it was Beyond Magnetic. What a steaming pile of shit that is. BM is pretty cool, Hate Train is just awesome, Bullet could have been a top ten song with some more work. The last two are okay Yep, when they came out I thought that they were just recordings of early session ideas that they put together kind of randomly to show to people. Little did I know that they were actually COMPLETE songs ready to get mixed that just didn't fit on the record. As far as Atlas goes, for me it's one of their best songs post load/reload. I dig Atlas too Kimbo can eat a bag of dicks   Beyond Magnetic has many cool moments. All four songs are better than Hardwired, ManUnKind and Atlas Raise. BM was produced even worse than DM. And I just didn't want to hear more badly produced Metallica. I gave it only one or two listens. Don't remember much of it.

I can tell you one thing, after watching that video just now. They were fucking lost without James Hetfield. Even for a year, look what they did. Jesus Christ. I didn't know that even existed. I like the part where Bob is nodding his head up and down with that hip hop guy as though he's REALLY FEELIN IT! That clip has to be the funniest "Metal" moments ever captured on film. The Dice throwing, the speakers blowing out, Swizz beats getting down and crazy infront of Bob. So much gold in those 10 minutes. I don't mind the song, its OK and catchy. It's a bit embarrassing, but I wouldn't say it's the worst song. I'll take "we did it again" over "hit the lights" any day. |
