I started thinking about this. I went and chose two songs I like the least from each album, and then put those songs in order from 1-20, where the #1 position is the song I dislike the most. What I realized while doing this, is that I don't really dislike any song off of Justice or Black (those two were definitely the hardest ones), and I actually like most of these tracks. Only a few songs that I really don't like.
Oh, and I'm not counting the songs from Beyond Magnetic, although they all should be on the list, maybe even Top 10 worst Metallica songs. Leftovers for a good reason, is what they are.
1. All Nightmare Long (I hate this fucking abomination.)
2. Bleeding Me (I don't HATE hate this, it's just dull as fuck and goes on forever and ever.)
3. Seek & Destroy (I can't stand this one, just because of the horrific overplaying.)
4. The Outlaw Torn (Better than Bleeding, but still dull and overstays its welcome.)
5. Now That We're Dead (Definition of stock. Uninspired and boring.)
6. St. Anger (Horribly arranged - the repeating verses and other parts destroy an otherwise passable track.)
7. The Unnamed Feeling (Dull, dull, dull.)
8. Attitude (Decent-ish filler track.)
9. Better Than You (Decent-ish filler track.)
10. Jump in the Fire (Decent filler track.)
11. The Day That Never Comes (Mostly good, but the god-awful mixing destroys this.)
12. Confusion (It's okay.)
13. Fade to Black (It's okay.)
14. Escape (You can clearly sense that they were trying to write a radio hit, but it's not actually half bad.)
15. Leper Messiah (A fine song.)
16. Welcome Home (Sanitarium) (A fine song.)
17. The God that Failed (A really good song.)
18. My Friend of Misery (Love the bass line on this.)
19. One (A classic, I absolutely love it!)
20. The Shortest Straw (Easily the best song of these 20 "worst" songs.)

Jayzon has always liked the faster thrashier stuff I think. He thinks "Hardwired" is a great song, so it's no wonder he can't appreciate epics like Outlaw Torn and Bleeding Me when he thinks that little piss weak 3 minute recycled riff shit song is a masterpiece.

Yeah, I definitely tend to lean towards the faster songs. Hardwired, Fight Fire With Fire, Battery, Damage Inc., Whiplash, those are my shit. Then again, I absolutely love some slower, moodier songs like the Unforgivens, Low Man's Lyric and Fixxxer. Look, I know what OT and BM try to accomplish and I can see why they're liked by a lot of people (like almost everybody on this board), but they just don't do it for me. Anyone else kinda like Temptation? The snippets of what we have from that Presidio time I have on an old USB stick with lots of other stuff from lots of other bands. I take this stick with me when on roadtrips.
Travelling in NZ last month (and there because of the Metallica no-show tour) and Temptation started playing unexpectedly. Being that my trip had been "altered" due to James' return to rehab, the lyrics were really impacting - Cant say No!
