The Kill and Ride box sets were cool but I didn't want to spend that much money. Pre-ordered this set as soon as I saw it though lol. Tons of cool content, I think it's worth the asking price, especially with MoP being my favorite album of all time.

It seems like they put a lot more live stuff as bonus items for this one and that's awesome because I don't think I've heard some of the concerts that was included in here except for the Hampton Roads one. I'm waiting for the Justice remaster, that'll be an interesting one to see what they include. If they do what I think they will do, I will probably cry.

Most of the boxset doesn't interest me tbh, and i'm not paying the ridiculous price for it. I will check out the remaster and might download it from Metallica.com if it's any good.

Couple of things: -Not sure if they ship to US, but they do seem to offer shipping to Australia which is where I am  -Looks like there was only the 1 box for pre-order (seems odd) so I ordered it, yay! -Today I learnt the Canadian dollar is almost 1:1 to our Aussie dollar. -Very reasonable shipping cost to get it here too, so I will likely use amazon.ca again, so good stuff all round  With a release date in early Nov plus 5-7 weeks wait to see it, this box wont be enjoyed until the New Year i would say. |

Considering that the Metstore is selling it for $175USD, I wouldn't trust that one you saw listed. There are cheaper bundles available, so maybe the seller made their own "box set" with some of that stuff, and marked it up a bit for profit. I mean if this type of stuff is going to be included with Justice, I'm really curious to see the work in progress for songs like Dyers Eve, not just the demos, I mean like how they pieced together the songs. Also, if they somehow remaster the Seattle '89 show, I will probably faint. This is Master of Puppets though, so just imagine the Black Album haha. You think they'll remaster St. Anger? xD
Also, I would never trust any other site even Amazon for listings like that at least until it gets close to release, I would go to the source too.

Sorry yepsure for slow reply but you seem to be on the same page as me now.
That first link is indeed the one I pre-ordered.
The pic is of MoP but there is a 2nd pic that shows the full layout of book, vinyl, discs.
The second link you posted is digital music (hence $98-ish cost)
I've never used the Canadian part of Amazon but the US store was where I purchased the first 2 boxsets and that was hassle free.
I can see the charge for faster shipping is not a lot more than what I paid for the standard - I may change that on my order as there is that option to do so. But I get antsy when I mess with things like this....I don't even trust the local mailman to finish the delivery (with good reason)
Anyway, I am confident we will receive what we are wanting.
I have browsed that thread on the other forum (after I had already pre-ordered) and it only cemented my thoughts. We are not the only ones not using MetStore due to shipping. The cost is so damn high, if there was at least some effort to reduce that then I'd be more than happy preodering from the "proper" source.

I'm hoping in the Justice box there is some stuff relating to the $5.98 EP. One of my favourite Metallica releases (the first one I bought waiting for new Metallica material) and seeing the inclusion of Money... and The Prince in this MoP set gives me hope something will be there. |

The one I'm looking forward to the most is the Black Album.
Bring on the early work in progress versions, amazing live shows like Moscow... it's gonna be incredible.
But let's be honest, they all are. I think I'll even be excited for the Reload one.
