Like damn, I'm listening to them right now and they're so good.
That's all I wanted to say. They're just good songs.

Yep. Both fantastic songs with great lyrics. I loved "Mama Said" almost instantly but took me a while to warm to "Low Man's Lyric".

I love those songs too although a lot of people hate them because they are not the metulz.

Low Man in particular for me was an instant fuck yeah! Still love it and is one of those songs that always pop into my head when I'm playing the acoustic

Both are fantastic, but Low Man's Lyric is just on another level. It's a masterpiece.

Mama is pretty good; LML is in my top 10 Metallica songs.

While I love both, Mama Said is my favourite of the two. Those solo acoustic performances Hetfield did in 96 I think gave it the edge over Low Man's.

I used to like Mama Said more. But these days I'd much rather give Low Man's Lyric a listen.

Both great songs. Low Man is such a forgotten gem too. There is no video for it and it was pretty much never played live.
I really like this demo version of Mama Said too. Nice to listen to a bit different take on the song sometimes.

Still crossing my fingers for a James solo acoustic tour/Metallica acoustic tour one day.

And it didn't work at all
I would like to see them play an acoustic show in an indoor intimate environment. Not at a big metal show

Nice to listen to a bit different take on the song sometimes. from memory they played it live the first time I saw them in about 98- it was acoustic, they also played four horseman acoustic and something else, can't remember. I'll have to find the setlist. Edit: just found the setlist and they did. Cool set, I'd love to hear some of those tracks live again!
