I'm being lazy right now, so I'm gonna copy and paste what I posted on the other metbb. This is after one listen.
Finished giving it a listen for the first time! First off Queens is one of my favorite bands ever, and ...Like Clockwork is without a doubt my favorite album of theirs. Hell, its one of my favorite albums ever period! So yeah, I've been pretty damn hyped for this record.
Without getting into too much detail right now, this is a damn good record, but upon first listen ...Like Clockwork still reigns supreme for me. I really do enjoy the upbeat, synthy sound of this record though. One small gripe I do have, is that the drums sound really compressed and tiny. And it's such a shame because they have John Theodore behind the kit, and he is one extraordinary drummer. His work with The Mars Volta is just insane, I kinda feel like his talent is a little wasted on this record. Mark Ronson's production on this record sounds a little...... off to me now that I think about it. Great record, if I had to score it, it gets a solid 4 out of 5, where as LC gets a 5 out of 5 from me. Can't wait to see them tear into these songs live.

Agreed....Like Clockwork is a great album so am expecting big things from this new one.

He was obviously completely in the wrong and right to apologise, it seems alot of musicians don't like being photographed all the time especially with the cell phone culture these days. |
