Been watching a lot about The Sex Pistols and John Lydon. He's a charismatic and interesting guy, I even dug his butter commercial.
I must say I still don't get Public Image Ltd.'s lauded status though. Most of it's nigh on unlistenable to me.

Was interesting but there was a lot of 'I was gonna do this with so and so but....'. He seems intelligent enough but he sometimes came across as if he feels he has it over everyone. Book had its share of laughs. If you have ever seen the Great RnR Swindle with the band on the Thames boat and the police boarding to end the disturbance, Lydon talks about pointing out a young Richard Branson as the lead singer and main troublemaker to police as he walks off |

Also Sid Vicious killing his girlfriend and ODing, the whole thing was a circus. I stumbled across this song by Lydon recently which i thought was quite good: |

Yeah, "Rise" was their big hit.
"This is not a Love Song" was another one.
Sid was a mess well before he tried playing bass, but my take on it is that Nancy lead him down a bad path, or at least kept him on it.
Back in the day I loved this stuff
