Yup, I'd love a new song. WIll it happen, probably not. But hey, a boy can dream!
I think we'll get a standard "hits" setlist with a couple of deeper cuts thrown in. But who the fuck knows, really.

I'm actually pretty excited because it's the first gig in some time and the first this year. It's also the only gig planned so far and we really have no idea how long they are in the recording process.
That said, I'm damn exited but even if they play a killer standard set, I will feel somewhat disappointed :-/

Is the Brodcast exlusive to Metallica.com or will other networks be airing it? I'm really feeling a new song guys, this has to be it. If they have the exclusive rights for this brodcast then they can upload the new live track to their sites and earase any other fan filmed versions from the web. This has to be it. Right?

Well it appears the only official stream will be on livemetallica.com but that will certainly get ripped and uploaded onto YT within hours of the live broadcast.
They won't erase any fan stuff from the net - that's not their style. Also I doubt VERY MUCH whether we're getting a new song. I'd love to be proved wrong, but I suspect we'll get a greatest hits + a couple of deeper cuts.
We'll see!!

I hope they really shake up the set like last summer. The favorites + some rare stuff, but not Frayeds End again. Maybe something like Struggle Within, Unnamed Feeling or Leper Massiah. Bust out Kill the King for the cover slot. Plus 2 new songs of course. Soon we will find out, I'm getting really hyped for this.
