This is legitimately the cringiest thing I've ever seen any popular band ever do. Holy shit. I can't stop laughing. What did you just say? Shut the fuck up, asshole!

This is so sad. I've always loved his voice and connected with his lyrics. It's really sad the way that he went. I can only imagine how his wife and children feel, it's awful.

Man...Cornell's death has triggered me to fire up SoundGarden and Audioslave for the first time in about 3-4 years. It's a shame that it takes a death to re-discover my enjoyment of certain types of music.
I did the same thing when Lemmy died - I'd always loved some of the original popular Motorhead albums, but after Lemmy died I explored and discovered that I loved most of their later stuff too.
The human mind is an odd thing.

This reminds me of the Robin Williams suicide for some reason. Maybe he had an illness.

Fuckin pills man. People don't take that shit seriously for themselves enough. Don't take more! I think this is particularly an issue with having an addict prescribed to them, because that is exactly what they do. MORE. Always more. Always too much. That needs to be taken more seriously in this world. Shit, Chris may have been better off staying a drunk.

That and the fact doctors increasingly prescribe potent, damaging drugs without giving it a second thought, and that prescription medicine is marketed and advertised is the US like it's just another product that everyone should desire and deserves.
It's a disgusting culture.

A FB buddy just told me he took Atvian for 3 days and he ended up in the hospital not knowing how he got there at first. He was found in the bathtub, had attempted to slit his wrists.
That should put this shit into perspective for you. There is no rationalizing suicide in the first place, much less under this kind of influence.

That should put this shit into perspective for you. Was that directed at me? I was agreeing with you man. These powerful mind altering drugs shouldn't be so widely prescribed and given out to people. It scares me just how many people out there are on xanax/prozac/antidepressants/benzos.

Easy to blame the drugs though, the guy's got to take responsibility for his actions. How exactly do you propose he take responsibility for killing himself HR?

You haven't answered my question. Also, you're addicted to getting a reaction out of people by posting stupid fucking statements all the time. We're all addicted to something.

Audioslave albums just have that killer big sound and his voice dominates them. Probably the best supergroup ever.

Probably the best supergroup ever. No, that would be The Justice League.

Never was that big into Soundgarden, more into Cornell's acoustic stuff, Audioslave and Temple, but damn, this is some gud stuff.

I always felt the opposite. Soundgarden is legend and don't like the rest he has been in/done except a few of the Temple songs too.
FYI: Soundgarden doesn't = Black Hole Sun and Spoonman.

It's a disgusting culture. That's what killed Michael Jackson, that doctor just kept prescribing him those drugs that he was hooked on and it killed him. Same with Prince apparently, he had some prescription pills in him when he collapsed in his elevator. All about the money for those doctors, they'll keep prescribing as long as the money rolls in. My father gave me his Louder Than Love CD awhile back, I did the same and decided to listen to it full again for the first time in many years. That's a great album too.

Yep I have been listening to some Soundgarden and Cornell stuff too. Soundgarden was still in regular rotation at home though, no long gaps, Superunknown is still my favourite with Badmotorfinger a close 2nd.
Mate has been sending clips of acoustic stuff, I had missed his version of Nothing Compares 2 U and had a bit of a moment in the car when they played it on the radio here. Also Dave Grohl posted a clip of Chris doing Black Hole Sun acoustic, which was pretty special and again something I had not seen.
Spent the whole weekend feeling this was some bad mistake and feeling sorry for everyone involved including us fans. I also noticed the V8supercar event that was on this weekend subtlety used Chris songs in their telecast.
