yes, this is general feeling. But like I have seen with similar come backs, it may pave the way for it to come back. golden :) It is hard to come back after 16 years? and find feet with no stumbles.
I am not saying this mini series was amazing, it was not. One episode was. but if the powers that be see interest is there, and more time and devotion is now spent on it - I will be a very happy bunny!

Yes, I hope they will make more episodes, and I wish the next season will be quite a lot longer, so that they have enough time to move the mytharc forward without it feeling rushed...maybe even Chris Carter can get at least almost back on track if they do that...if not I wish for almost solely Monster of the week episodes.

These episodes might not be the best, and even though I've hated plenty on them they actually got interested in the show again. I would love for it to come back for a full season.

He was too busy with Better Call Saul to do anything for the mini-season. Hopefully with a whole year he can find the time to put something together. |

I stayed out of this thread in case of spoilers. I finished watching the series last night and agree none of the eps were on the level of the great ones from the past, but I didn't dare miss a bit as a XFiles fan from years ago. Even with the lacklustre episodes we just got, I still want more. |

I agree completely. As poor as season 10 was, I love that it's back on TV and I'm hoping for more episodes soon.
I grew up with the show, and it's one of my favourites of all time. Ive started watching the whole show again, and I'm loving it. I last did a rewatch about 3-4 years ago, so I remember the few stinkers that need skipping.
Although watching it again from season 1 really highlights just how good the show was, and just how bad the new season was in comparison.

Some really interesting info about the episodes and interesting analysis. The host of the show actually made an appearance on the third episode of the new season, he played the animal control officer. |
