Weed does not grow brain cells or cure cancer, everything else above is true. Like others have said not for everybody and you should use caution, that's why in a legal world you can walk into a store tell your Buderista exactly what you are looking to feel like or your specific problem and be recommended a strain to fit your needs. Edibles are becoming more regulated, they sell brownies in one hit bites. This is not your grandmothers pot maybe that's why it should be legal and regulated and taxed. Things are really going to change when Cali gets the recreational off the ground and Canada legalizes in 2018.

If people want to smoke it, that's cool, their lives, but I don't care for it. I might try it if it gets legal in my neck of the woods. I'll probably be one of those who freaks out on it though.

I think if someone wants to freak out everyday, let em freak out. I, along with about 99% of the pot smoking population, thought it was horrible and wouldn't recommend it. But if feeling like your going to die with absolutely no way to stop it sounds like a good time to that other 1%, I say have at it. Who am I to judge what might tickle someone elses fancy...

Hmmm interesting. Lets not spread bullshit. Cannabis is estimated to be addictive to 30% of users. How people are wired affects addictiveness (i've known a few, thats for sure). A depressant is not a bad thing, it doesn't make you depressed, it is a medical term for a calming substance Plenty of people died doing stupid shit whilst high, including driving. How does cannabis save the police billions? Do they sell it on after all those drug busts? Making an overall profit on the cost of man power, boats, aircraft, fuel, prosecution system? Grows Brain cells, Yeah bloke I went to school with would have something to say about that.

What the living fuck are you even talking about and why the fuck did ANYONE even fucking agree with this bullshit? He's making the valid point that traumatic events often result at an elated appreciation for life. Studies show that people who survive horrific car accidents, some of whom are maimed or that lose limbs or loss of all normal physical ability, often report that they are happier after the event than they were prior to it. This is not a reason to go ahead and force such a situation upon yourself. There are other smarter, safer, ways to appreciate and be grateful for ones like. In other words, taking drugs to the point where you nearly die so that you can experience a renewed appreciation for life is fucking stupid and probably suggests that there is an underlying mental health issue that needs to be dealt with, rather than some sort of profound, special insight into what life is all about. I didn't say to take 'drugs' so that you 'nearly die.' You ever have a heavy dose of shrooms? It ain't gonna kill you but you'll have a panic attack and think something is up for a moment. Those moments are better controlled by myself now, I know what is going to happen and I know what to do with them. There is a pretty big misconception of what I was saying earlier but I probably wasn't clear enough. Anyone who has had profound psychedelic experience should know what I'm talking about. Fearful realization of mortality, and ego death. A lot of people really should experience that every now and then. Or, maybe not. I'm just an idiot. And no, you will not be able to think it to that degree or get it from looking at stars. Because it is a extreme chemical exo-influenced process. You're not going to awe yourself into that state. It's a hallucinogen. Pretty sad to me that people try to downplay this, but whatever, enjoy.

I certainly don't have a problem with people experimenting with hardcore hallucinogens. I even believe that they can have great benefits for a person's wellbeing under the right conditions.
But they're a completely different kettle of fish to weed. People can seriously mess themselves up on that stuff. Not just temporarily. And not in a good way. As I said earlier, there needs to be education on this stuff. People need to be open and rational about it. But people are rarely open and rational so whatever.

Speaking of hallucinations, this woman in Queensland who was a long time abuser of weed decided to quit smoking it, then had a psychotic schitzophrenic breakdown, thought she was some messiah and decided to kill her 8 children. She avoided prison on the unsound mind defence.

Woman in the paper this morning tried to set fire to her boyfriends house, while he was asleep upstairs, then ran to the neighbours for "help", only to come back and find him alive, awake and had put the fire out. She went to court charged with attempted murder and arson. Sentence? 2 years suspended sentence. Top comment under the story said it all "What does a woman have to do to see the inside of a jail cell in this country" Some MP has even suggested no more female prisons because how "dangerous could women really be?" As well as being a bit sexist, that's basically an open season on laws not applying to half the population.
