My copy of this arrived yesterday. I love it. Fantastic, how much more is in it? The book is about 100 pages, and I would guess that 85% of those have photos.

So during my time away from the boards I got to tour this bad girl. I'd highly recommend it if you are in that area. It's impossible to realize just how big Battleships are until you are inside of one. She's in pretty good shape as well. www.battleshipnc.com/

Is this the Ken Burns doc? I’m on episode seven, they did a wonderful job. I like how they interviewed so many different people, on both sides of the conflict. It’s a rough watch, but worth it. What a fucked up situation it was.

It's becoming one of my favorite documentaries, they really don't hold back when talking about things that happened there and at home.

Makes you realise the pointless of war The phone calls with President Johnson are interesting as well, especially when he calls the reporter and asks "Are you trying to fuck me?" after the reporter talks about atrocities being committed. Damn. Yeah it gets more and more graphic as the series goes on.

It's interesting to watch how the Vietnam veterans talk about the war when compared to Veterans of other wars. On average Riflemen in Vietnam saw a lot more combat than infantrymen in other wars, and you can tell. They all seem really messed up, it's sad. This guys stories really brought that feeling when I heard them.

Unfortunately it doesn't play outside of the UK. I'd still love to see it in 3D at the cinema for the full experience.
