Brag about music you've recently purchased, in any format. Although, of course, it doesn't really count as music if it's not on vinyl.*
Lana Del Rey - Born to Die Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid M.A.A.D City Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly** Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat
All on vinyl.
*If Ender's not going to join us someone's got to be a snob.
**Speaking of which, where's that BoneMetFloyd guy or whatever the hell his name was?

Where is Ender?
On the weekend I bought Kamasi Washington's The Epic. on triple LP. Lovely packaging and great music.
Today I bought online Ghost Bath's Moonlover. I didn't think I'd enjoy this as much as I do when it first came out last year but it's something special.

Dream Theater's the Astonshing. But I haven2T received the cd yet. Rush-Rush in Rio
I'll probably get Ibrahim Maalouf's and Ahmet Aslan's albums soon. I'm not so sure about Aslan's but Maalouf's is a must.

The last records (well, CDs) I purchased were Whiskeytown's Strangers Almanac and The Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack because I like to stay up to date with the newest music and culture. Do hope to get Ryan Adams' 1989 on vinyl sometime soon too. That's going to sound massive Today I bought online Ghost Bath's Moonlover. I didn't think I'd enjoy this as much as I do when it first came out last year but it's something special. ...and now I know that it has a physical release, possibly this too. It's an odd one, I'm really trying to figure it out. It's wave after wave of emotional noise and very cathartic but there is something very special about it and I can't figure it out. But it's really really fucking good and for sure in my top 10 for last year. Did you see also that they're touring?!

I haven't bought a single CD since... Beyond Magnetic? I have never even listened to that CD. Before BM, the last one might've actually been Death Magnetic.
Spotify is the way I listen to music nowadays. I don't even have a CD player, other than my computer's DVD drive - which I also have never used, in the two years I've had this computer.

It's been out physically for a long time. just never thought to order it until I turned 2 guys at work onto it and we all went in on it (made the 20 euros for shipping easier). I didn't see they're touring. Have many dates been released? I'll have to check that out. A record shop i frequent is moving so they're having a big sale and I picked up Steven Wilson's 4 1/2 and Belle & Sebastian's Dear Catastrophe Waitress both for 20% off.

Spotify is the way I listen to music nowadays. I don't even have a CD player Same here. I don't know how I ever survived without Spotify. Collecting records is nice for the artwork but I would never bother actually putting on a cd or record and listening to it when I can just stream it on my phone.

I wasn't expecting to find it in my local shop but I had no clue that there was a physical release! I'm not sure r.e. dates, I saw a post on facebook and I think there's a festival they're playing in summer. Only North American dates for now but I think Europe is being considered (by what's been said). 20% off Dear Catastrophe Waitress is the best way to buy it. ;) It's a great record but one which I'll happily take 20% off on! As for the spotify chat, that's honestly where I hear most of my new music. There's a terrific second hand music shop in Dundee which where I buy most of my music and I'll happily wait to pick up the CD a few months/a year later for half the price if I even buy it at all. Sometimes I will buy an album when it comes out (Deafheaven's latest I bought on release day) or order off of Bandcamp but tbh it's more of a reflection of my economic situation that I opt to stream. If I could afford to give labels artists more of my money, I totally would eh.

Yeah I had picked up Dear Catastrophe many times, but I own the CD, so 20% off for the record, why not.
The FB posts I saw were pretty vague and I think was only for a show in Romania. They're such a weird band that who knows what's happening.

Yeah, I've got a fair amount of money atm so I can afford to splurge a bit on music stuff. Spotify's great, though, and I us it a lot, but I greatly appreciate having a physical copy of an album with me instead of just having a crappy digital stream.
