I really can't stand them anymore they've become the most overplayed rock band and there seems to be no escaping them. every radio station, every tv commercial, every car that drives by, all I hear is AC/DC and of course 80% of the time its "back in black"
I know a couple of people who are obsessed over them and get so excited about them like they're some hot new band. I mean Jesus christ what is this obsession with dinosaurs making the same fucking album over and over.

ac/dc okay but the songwriting musicianship they put on songs and albums is pale into comparison with the masterful musical pieces created by bassist cliff burton.

Yeah, I'm sick of them. But I don't let my veins pop out over them.

They are the most perfect generic hard rock band of all time. I don't mean that in a bad way. They are effective for what they are, and yet they aren't a band I would ever elevate to high important status in my mind as being so mind blowing and soul stirring. They are perfectly OK.
The overplayed band I'd be ok with being deleted of the planet would be Nirvana.

They don't get ANY airplay here on radio or tv. Except when there's a rock top 100 or so on.
This actually applies to all rock bands. All we get on radio is r&b, hip hop and pop. We don't have music channels on tv anymore.

Nope, still love pulling the old albums out.
Been many times I have cracked a beer and cranked Down Payment Blues to wind out.
They cop a lot of criticism but you know what to expect from AC/DC and they are the masters of it. Can't think of a single song that doesn't put me in a good mood, even the overplayed Back in Black songs are good strong rock songs.
If Axl ends up recording an album with them as per the rumours, I feel it could be the first time I struggle to defend them.

Never bothered listening to a full album. I know the songs everybody knows I guess, and it just doesn't come across as something I'd interested in as a full-time effort.

I'm not really a fan, but to be honest they don't get that much airplay where I live, so I don't find them offensive, You know I am sick to death of?

Brian Johnson's Life On The Road will see AC/DC man interview artists including Lars Ulrich, Joe Elliott and Robert Plant in new 6-part TV series TV channel Sky Arts have announced a new TV series titled Brian Johnson's Life On The Road. It will see the former AC/DC frontman interview a host of big names from the world of rock and metal, with the first episode featuring The Who’s Roger Daltrey scheduled to air on April 28. Sky Arts say: “One of rock music’s iconic and tour-hardened frontmen, Brian Johnson, gives us a brand new and exclusive take on one aspect of the rock and roll life – live performance, touring and being on the road.” The following five episodes see the singer talk to Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason, Sting, Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott and Robert Plant. Def Leppard frontman Elliott said: “Brian Johnson flew into Dublin to interview yours truly for a TV show that he's doing called Brian Johnson's Life On The Road and I was quite humbled to be invited to do it because the guests that he's got on the show are quite extraordinary. “We spent about eight hours shooting the show. We were walking around the Temple Bar area of Dublin in the rain and wind. It was cold and horrible but we did spend most of it indoors at The Porterhouse HQ where he sampled Joe Elliott's Louder beer. “To be quite honest I think he quite enjoyed it." teamrock.com/news/2017-04-04/brian-johnson-to-launch-tv-interview-series

I love the song "The Razors Edge", and "Big Gun" always perks me up. A few other of the classics are fun, and playing along with "Thunder Struck" always cheers me up.
I fucking hate "TNT" though.
Someone mentioned the eight year old thing, very true, but that's why I enjoy the handful of songs that I do. Reminds me of better times when my world was nothing more then hanging with my buddies, watching "Maximum Overdrive", and caring about nothing except the present moment of time.
