I'll be going to the Manchester show and will be in the Legacy ballot so there's a chance of meet n greet but I don't want to bank on it.....this will be my 8th show now and I think it's time they knew I exist!
£200 (not sure on price for the biggest 'experience' ?) for a picture and a quick chat, just to be in the same room as them would be amazing, and to hold their instruments and see memorabilia will be worth it for the lifelong memory. The band is such a big part of my life and has been for so long I can't think of many better ways to spend a few hundred.
Anyone else planning on doing this?
I actually got to hold a Hetfield guitar in the Hardrock Cafe once, the thought that Hetfield once played this guitar was surreal. It was one of his black Sad But True explorers, though I think it was from the early 90s so it could have been used on any song

For something as huge as meeting your heroes in what could be their last few years....some things have got to be worth the money. Unless it's really ridiculous money. I've met them a couple of times on different occasions, M&G, album listening party, album pre launch, other backstage stuff, Orion festival. Was amazing every time, even if it's only a for a fist bumb or a pic. Funny thing though, I've never met Lars in the streets of Copenhagen, I did bumb into James prior to Roskilde in 2003 though. |

Like I said when they first announced these VIP packages, I hate that they're doing this because suckers like me will pay for it. It's easy money for them, like taking candy from a baby. The principal behind it is appalling.
It's cool that you've made the decision to do it, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I'll probably end up doing the same but I'm hoping I come to my senses and refrain from it.

Ya'll were right. Only prices I could find were from the Copenhagen show which was equivalent of £1,500....seems a bit much for a quick hello and a photo.

There's still the old free meet n greets but chances of winning are even lower now that anyone who puts in their email is considered a clubber. I'm a legacy member but I doubt that makes much difference.
