At least those who live in a Western country. And when it comes to those countries, USA isn't doing too great at the moment. Actually, I'd say "compared to other countries that matter", but I guess that would be kinda insensitive. But to be really honest, actively deciding to not think, or even care, about all the horrible things going on in the world, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. I'm pretty sure that if you started worrying about every poor soul who lives in a solitary cell and gets tortured daily, or every little orphan African child who is starving, you're gonna go mental in a hurry. I decide to be content and happy with what I have, and not worry about things I can't change. Has worked for me so far. |
