I thought they started shooting the new series ages ago ? I like Matt LeBlanc but I doubt the new series is going to be good, not a fan of Chris Evans.

Yeah I'm not big on Chris Evans either. They've started shooting but they've been searching for co-hosts ever since.

I'll be watching TG out of curiosity but I'm actually looking forward to Clarkson et al.

I got sick of both Clarkson and Hammond. He really turned into a little brat after his crash.
James May is the best one and I wish he'd have stayed on.
I'm gonna watch it now that those two aren't on it. I'm interested. I like Chris Evans. And Matt LeBlanc is an interesting choice.
I really wanted Robert Llewellyn ( Red Dwarf, Scrapheap Challenge ) to host it. I think he'd be awesome but he said "Over my dead body" when asked.

The Amazon show will be the same as it was on BBC, and they will sell it to tv networks eventually.

Yeah it's the same, from what I understand though it will be released episodically, probably Sunday 8pm, which is the same time new Top Gear used to air.

Hammond... he should not be allowed to host a TV series, the way he gasps air in between sentences drives me up the wall...

And let's be honest, I still don't think he's all there after the accident,

Yeah he probably isn't. I still like him though. I actually really like all 3 of them, they have great chemistry, staged or not

May is the best. I am more than happy to watch his independent programming

Nah May on his own is so boring. All of them are pretty boring on their own actually

So getting Joey to present is a last ditch attempt at grabbing the US audience?
My problem with it, from interviews I've seen, is the he is as dull as fuck.

Dull doesn't even begin to cut it I dunno, I always thought this interview seemed like it had been cut up a lot, like there was a lot they couldn't actually air.

It's sort of gone back to the previous format with lots of presenters.
OR
Maybe they rotate and Matt and Eddie will be on now and again.

Does anyone actually watch Top Gear for the car information ? I watched it because the three of them were funny together. You can't just hire a bunch of randomers and expect to get the same results.

I really don't think this is going to sell worldwide, that's for sure.
I won't boycott it, I'll give it a go, but I really hav eno interest. It would have been better with Sabine in charge though.
