Lady Gaga has been offered the chance to become METALLICA’s new “co-lead singer” after performing at the Grammys with the legendary heavy metal band. Despite the disastrous onstage collaboration, where 26 million fans saw frontman James Hetfield suffer a ‘dead mic’ onstage during the performance of “Moth Into Flame”, bandmates Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo, were totally blown away by Gaga. As reported by WJLA in Washington, now drummer Ulrich has indeed offered Gaga a spot in the group, inviting Gaga to join the band onstage whenever her schedule allows.
“We’ve got a new lead singer,” Ulrich told Access Hollywood. “Well, a new co-lead singer, is a better way of saying it. We were talking earlier about maybe making her a permanent member of Metallica, and being a five-piece from now on, so we’ll see.”

I checked your two links and it didn't say anything about her becoming the lead singer but rather that she could join in as a co-singer when her schedule allows? Doesn't matter if there's a big difference or not though; Lars' and the band's wishes have always been priority number one and rightfully so. I don't think they should cater to fans by not doing something and especially if they really want to do it. |

I'm already hesitant on dropping $150+, much less to see Metalligaga.

I wouldn't mind a mini collaboration album. 4 covers+2 original songs. A few shows here and there. Something like that, sure, why not at this point. If it keeps Metallica inspired, I say they should go for it.
I would just love to hear some electronic/industrial styled Metallica. Sampled riffs, synths and that kind of thing.

He couldn't even do the goodbye part at the end, same with atlas rise... Since the songs are recorded in E and they play in Eb tuning live , it's kind hard to adopt your voice to the new songs as you want to hold back your voice too. |
