I'm pretty sure they are touring Europe indoor in the autumn ? I was speaking about the American dates. Not sure about Europe. Yeah I'm pretty sure they will tour Europe in the round after the stadium tour in the US. Seems kinda weird to construct a new stage if they don't.

Most likely int the round, yes.

WTF! Montreal ticket prices;
For 85$ I can stay in my backyard, just about the same distance from the stage. $141 I can sit far enough away that the wind will kill any coolness and I can watch the big screen, $161 I can get close enough to enjoy the show. $275 or something I can get seats on a VIP balcony.
So 2 tickets at $161 is gonna be a big fat $322. Plus some beers and a babysitter. This is horrible :(
For volbeat avenge and Metallica.
I paid 120 for a 2 day pass for heavy Montreal and saw like 30 bands including Metallica, slayer, offspring, twisted sister, lamb of god etc.
This is robbery.

You get a free copy of HTSD No but really, that's a shitload of money. They'll sell tickets no matter what, but I don't think it shouldn't be this expensive to see a rock show.

The prices are pretty rediculous. I could have bought two VIP packages at the Ghost concert and it still would have been cheaper than seats that are a mile away at the Metallica show.

Yeah I think this album tour is going to be mainly stadiums and festivals where possible, with a handful of indoor dates scattered throughout.

This is a bigger cash grab then the by request tour. This really sucks. My wife said she doesn't have to go and I can get the extra ticket for a friend that would pay me back (hopefully) if kids can get in for free, then I'll bring my kids and wife and make it a family day thing, but man, its really hard to even want to dish out 161 to hear the same old set plus a few OK new songs.

Well, I'm not attached and don't have a life outside of work. So, I'll probably end up at the Toronto date.

Its not even about the money, its the principal, its just so over priced that I feel hatred right now towards the decision makers. I have 11 hours to decide if I'm getting 1 or 2 tickets for way too much. If I go solo and the show is just alright, I'll be out $160, if I bring the wife and the show is just alright, then I'm out $320 and I got to listen to her complain about it and use it as leeway to get those new dressers or curtains from IKEA. So it'll cost me another 300 on furniture to justify my spending on the concert. Such a dilemma. I think I'll grab an extra ticket and save it for a friend. If last minute I can't get someone to come with me and buy the ticket, I'll bring the wife.

The state of MetFor right now. "How do I get Legacy status?" has been asked about a million times since the announcement, multiple times in the same threads as well. The mods really have their hands full there. I wonder how many new 5th members joined after the tour announcement.

I've learnt to live with it, it's been like this for years. I don't lack money but I can surely understand why some people are pissed about it. What I hate the most is the "Hey, we are going on tour in the summer/spring, all tickets go on sale tomorrow so you have less than day to get the money" I hate it with a passion, give people some time dammit.

These prices are pretty crazy. I'm not sure I can justify dropping $200+ (AUD) to see a greatest hits set at a stadium. I hate stadium gigs with a passion. Awful sound, and it really could be anyone on stage, you wouldn't know because you're that far away.
With Soundwave gone, there aren't any festivals to play here. So I'm holding on to the quickly fading hope that they'll bring that new little stage down here for an indoor tour at a reasonable price.
Good luck those of you trying to grab tickets to your desired US show! And Sic-Jes, get the extra ticket. It's easier to get rid of it if you need to than that try to grab an extra one later down the track.

That should help them offset the cost of TTN movie that bombed. Maybe this could also be the first show were the venues will be half empty. Not because of fans not buying tickets but the re-sellers trying to sell them on for $300!If you want the full VIP experience its going to cost $2250.

Is there a specific reasoning behind when they do in the round vs end stage? Or is it just, "Eh, whatever."

Alright, this is it. An hour to go. Good luck. The official board is going beyond mental. After the shock of the prices has worn off, I'm still pissed, but I told myself this;
Had they skipped Montreal, and the prices where what I'm used to, I would have hopped on a bus and went a city over, paid for a motel, and would have paid a shit load more for all that. At least I can sleep in my own bed that night.

I managed to scrape together just enough for a field ticket for myself. I'm still feeling a bit bummed out because my mom is a fan and I wanted to take her too, but she knows how much Metallica mean to me and doesn't mind missing it (probably helps that I got her tickets to one of her favourite bands for her b-day recently too), so there's still some excitement there.

Holy crap that was a fiasco! So I got my 2 tickets! Last second decisions and I went for the zone 1. They managed to sneak in an extra service fee so they came up to $181 each. Fucking ouch! All was good until I got my confirmation email saying my address was in the USA rather than Canada.
Cue dizziness and nausea.
Called the 800# and spent the last 50 minutes on hold (that will hurt my phone bill) but the guy I spoke with was awesome, said they had the same issue with a lot of people this morning so I know at least I'm not just a dummy who can't enter their address.
Puked a bit while on hold, oh the joys of the presale.
So if you got tickets please please verify your info after the fact because that shipping to US/Canada button is having issues.

Is there a specific reasoning behind when they do in the round vs end stage? Or is it just, "Eh, whatever." It's just how the venue is set up. In the round is much more plausible in football stadiums, especially indoor ones, versus baseball stadiums, for instance. My heart is racing right now, if I don't get decent seats, I'll be heated. I've never seen this fucking band before.

This could very well be the last time I see Metallica, you never know what the future will bring. And my last show a few summers ago was tainted due to the fact that I kept passing out from dehydration and ended up in the medical tent for the last quarter of the show.

I've seen them before in an arena so I'm good. Even the cheap seats at the Baltimore show are 100+. I tried talking myself into it but damn.
