I hope that parts of the US leg Jason makes a special guest appearance for part of the show or the whole show. And why would they do that? Other than you can't let go of the past and are trolling as always?
No trolling but US fans are paying through the nose and it would be a special treat. Imagine its the end of the set and the opening verse of Memory Remains being shouted by Jason. He walks on with hybrid bass guitar so Rob can still play. The band finish with that song and big sing-a-long similar to their performance on S&M. If there are big screens they could also show Bosch artwork and it would truly befitting.

The 30th anno was one thing, but they aren't going to be touring around and paying an old bass player that quit the focking band. Also that song idea and ending the show with that is a shit idea. Delete your account. Thanks.

Also It would be a nice gesture towards Jason considering the crap he got off James while he was in the band.

He's been out of the band longer than he was in it. Move the fuck on.

www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/interviews/jason_newsted_what_i_think_about_new_metallica_album__trujillos_bass_playing.htmlJason says Rob should have played the bass interlude in Bone with a pick so he could get the "Jason sound". 1. Rob should drive over to Jason's house and play tremolo bass runs until Jason is forced to quit his chophouse band. 2. What exactly is the "Jason sound"? Is it a completely indistinct sound that doesn't stand out in any way? 3. Jason Newsted fanboys are hilarious. Just because of his backing "vocals" and James, Lars, and Kirk being mean to him he is better than Cliff+Rob+Jesus, and responsible for all of Metallica's success.

How did he transition from saying they are trying to get the Lemmy sound, but, yet, trying to get the 'Jason sound', but, not getting the Jason sound because that isn't the Jason sound? (of course, the answer is, using a nonsensical transition to talk about himself and big himself up)
This is kind of retarded shit that comes out of people's mouths when their ego is on fire. This is Mustaine level nonsense.

It sounds nothing like Jason, and that's a really good thing.

Rob must be thinking "Man I really need that tone".

Nah, Rob's going "man I really need to learn how to play like that". Playing your bass by slamming it against your head, playing Orion and Ktulu wrong, these are all just choices Jason made for the Newsted sound. A true artist for sure, well worthy of all the YouTube comments section praise.

Rob is a much better bassist than Jason. But Jason was a better fit for the band and I like his tone better.

You kidding me man? Jason had such a killer tone on TBA. Complimented the bleak sound of the guitars perfectly.

I agree his live tone was pretty bad. But that TBA tone is so crisp. One of my favorite bass sounds on record.

To be fair, it definitely suffered a bit from the soundboard manipulation of the tone (Flea's bass tone on LiveRHCP vs in real life is the same deal) and I can't say I heard Jason's tone live ever. But it was in no way much better than "sort of crap". Kirk's tone was also apparently bad to me live, but not in the immediately striking way that it is over soundboard recordings.

I can't stand Kirk's clean tone. It was terrible live.

Oh right. Clean tone was abhorrent. I did notice that his rhythm channel was strikingly lower in the mix than James's. When he flubbed some counts (he came in for the intro of Atlas wrong, for instance) I noticed how quiet he was.
