I can understand some people not liking NTWD (though it's my fav. on the album) but The Outlaw Torn, I put that in my top 5 MetallicA songs. if you put that extra 30 seconds in that they cut out, Outlaw Torn is epic. it's MetallicA's musical version of a Western movie. |

I know it's very well liked by many, I just don't really care for it. But to be fair, it's easily the best of the four songs I listed there.

Okay, I just listened to HWTSD again today, and I must say that NTWD isn't THAT bad. It's just a bit boring, and it annoys me how much it's played on the radio etc. But yeah, it's not really among Metallica's worst.
Still the worst song on the album, though.

Okay, I just listened to HWTSD again today, and I must say that NTWD isn't THAT bad. It's just a bit boring, and it annoys me how much it's played on the radio etc. But yeah, it's not really among Metallica's worst. Still the worst song on the album, though. the worst on the album  dang, for me that would go to 'Murder One', 'ManUnkind or 'Am I Savage?'. NTWD has a great groove, the "all sinners a future..." part is great. I think that's the pre-chorus? I can listen to NTWD and enjoy it as a whole. 'Murder One' just makes me cringe, the lyrics are kinda lame. 'ManUnkind' is a mess thanks to Kirk and 'Am I Savage?' is ok but it's not a song I look forward to hearing. Death Magnetic only has 10 songs, if I cut 'Murder One' and either 'WahUnkind' or 'Am I Savage' out, it makes the album stronger. just my opinion of course  |
