If the contests are separate will probably not enter for a M&G, only look to try and snag a Snake Pit pass.
Wording on the site suggests the contest winners will be asked to chose between the two. Thats how I read it anyway

Other than Dream Experience, so far it looks like the only other way is to win a contest which wont happen until closer to the dates

I started off feeling pretty flat that it was standiums, questioning whether I would even go at all, but reading a bit more about the Golden Circle passes (and potential for Snake Pit), I’m feeling much more excited. Will probably get the Black pass and hit a few shows, even if they are similar sets it’ll still be fun. We could all even meet up for a beer or two! Would probably look to do Melb/Syd/Ade/Bris I'll definitely be doing adelaide, most likely drive to Melbourne for that, and mmmaybe fly to bris. I hope they add a second adelaide show but I doubt it being at adelaide oval as it fits so many. An extra vic show would work for me though! |

I'd love to meet the again, but also feel its a spot someone else should have that have not been lucky enough to do a M&G before.
Question: If you had to choose between M&G or Snake Pit pass, which way do you go?

I haven’t won a meet and greet before, but Hetfield is the dude I want to meet the most and he doesn’t participate anymore so I’d probably go the snake pit.
But multiple shows means multiple chances so who knows how it will all play out. Pretty sure I won’t win anything though haha.
Either way, sounds like we are all aiming to snag a Black pass and hit a few shows. Should be a fun week with a few opportunities to meet up and have a beer.

@fordy- fuck! Supercars and metallica! What a mix! Especially after we just had chili's here in adelaide! They were good this time around too. I had a ball at the whole event!

You know I CAN imagine James doing the Greets here. There's only a few dates and we are bloody awesome. Besides I need to keep in touch with him for when he puts that Buick up for sale.
Yes mate Goldy round + Metallica is for the taking. RHCP's were great on Sunday but fuck me that was a hot weekend, I was exhausted and I didn't even go all days this year. I normally live at the track for 4 days but not when its 40 degs. I saw your car on display

Being in the pit at just the right spot is 1000× better then a M&G. It's like hanging out with them for 2 hours while they play for you and give you fist bumps and picks, look you in the eyes while playing your favorite parts etc.
Way better IMO than talking for a few awkward moments and maybe getting a picture.

I wouldn't be relying on anything like that magic happening though Bunny

My mate does it every year and loves it. Back to Japan in April, luckily I’m flying for free on FF Points. Business on the way home too! I’ve got so much going on just day to day as well at the moment. It’s hectic and expensive but fun! |

Good on ya mate, sounds like a perfect Saurday. I've never been to Melb GP, only ever did Adelaide. They way you are doing it would be great - keen to hear what you think once its over.
