Wow, that was so fucking great. I've been looking forward to this for a while and now I really can't wait. The commentary is also fantastic. yeah Arjen is so nerdy! but I love him for it. And that track was quite enjoyable.

Pallbearer are releasing a new album in March. I've tried to get into Pallbearer because their artwork is so cool but I never could. (Same thing with Bell Witch). But "Thorns" I really liked. Went through it two times in a row when I first heard it. I'll have to pay attention to when the album drops.

I love both albums but the first one sounds like a demo compared to the second one.

Starting with that track.

Gojira has FINALLY clicked with me. I've been listening to Magma non stop.
What album do people think is their best?

Pretty much all their albums are great in one way or another though. Listen to them all please. Right now. While masturbating.

From Mars to Sirius>The Link>The Way of All Flesh>Terra Incognita>Magma>L'Enfant Sauvage Terra Incognita does have "Satan is a Lawyer" though, which I consider to be the worst song they have ever written.

Holy fuck Mario is a good drummer.
He plays like all of my favorite drummers mashed into a combination of epicness. Time to learn the songs on drums.

I just moved to a new home, and finally had enough room to set up my grandparents' old vinyl player I got from them years ago. I listened to "Machine Head" by Deep Purple and "Blizzard of Ozz" by Ozzy Osbourne just this morning.
It was glorious.

I want some suggestions for music similar to this? Songs or bands/artists. I'm thinking something in between Irish folk music and American folk music. Here's another example of that kind of style:

I'm no expert, but in terms of American music I think Appalachian folk sounds closest to that Pogues song as a lot of it is inspired by English/Irish/Scottish immigrants. I'm mostly familiar with it through soundtracks, so I'll recommend some of those: O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Inside Llewyn Davis, Cold Mountain. They're more traditional sounding than the beat songs you've posted though. I'm sure you'll find some decent compilations of irish/celtic folk/rock if you go digging.

I hate A7X and I'm not even sure why... Is it because of all their horsecockery around Hail to the King when they or their fans were like, "Dudes, it's a tribute album. Calm yo tits," when people were like, "You fucking unoriginal fucks. I fucking know Sad But True when I hear it." ---- In a related story, this song rules:

No, I've heard a couple of their songs and didn't think much of them. But whenever I see their name I automatically cringe.
Like I said I don't even know why, lol.

A7X started out as a mediocre-at-best metalcore band, then evolved to a pretty damn great metal band. And while Hail to the King was definitely an embarrassment, they redeemed themselves bigtime with The Stage.

I wish Motley Crue did another album with John Corabi.
Missed opportunity.

Is anybody else excited for the 465 billion articles coming over the next few weeks praising Beyonce for being brave enough to invent pregnancy, and live performing, and performing live while pregnant? Not to mention retaining her humbleness whilst dressed like a god?

I would have enjoyed Adele's acceptance speech much more if she had walked off the stage and punched Beyonce in the virginia, and told her to write her own songs so when people call her a creative genius it's deserved, as she's writhing on the floor while Jay-Z is reaching for his gat-shaped phone to call his street cred butler to bust a cap in this fat cracker. Also, if she had not won. Instead we get Adele apologizing for the entire planet that Beyonce had to suffer this transgression.

Congratulations, your vagina caught some sperm. Lots of women are pregnant out there. You don't need to make yourself out to be the queen of pregnancy.

Saw Anthrax at the weekend on their Among the kings tour. Was fantastic. They are so tight, without losing their speed. Played Among the Living front to back.
