Let's try and post a video for each live premiere of a song (with a good quality source as long as one's available).
Please try and not post songs that have already been posted (except for the case of you finding a better source for a certain song than the one posted before).

St. Anger songs:
(This is the second time they played it, but it is the premiere of the longer version 'cause the one they played at MTV Icon was a shorter version)
No video/audio source to be found for the St. Anger premiere...at least not on youtube.
(Couldn't find a video of the whole performance but figured an audio source is better than nothing)

Great thread!!! I've been to several of these premieres btw You lucky bastard. As a setlist obsessed snob, that is on my bucket list. Not for Metallica particularly, but just any band. The closest I've come was the Foo's jamming Owner of a Lonely Heart for the first time live (wow). |

I was at the show where Met debuted the Apocalypse intro, nothing special really, but at the show it was awesome. Nobody knew what was going on. Also, I wanna see the Foo's again but the bastards decided to play Roskilde instead of a regular show :( |

First time they played the song and by then it was called When hell freezes over. Don't know what date they started playing the whole song though. This shorter version seems to have usually segued into Phantom lord) |
