Then I got my drum kit, this pic is pretty old but it's the same base kit these days. That's an awesome set of drums, Kimbo! What pedals do you use? Have to say though, recording w/ two kicks is a bitch.

I've noticed a few drummers in Metal bands who *have* two kicks on stage but actually use one kick with a double pedal on.
Now - I don't know if that's to look good out front whilst getting a uniform sound...
Or to look more br00tal with two kicks.

The percussionists in Slipknot aren't even miked up.
There are sensors inside their barrels and drums which - when hit play a recording of that drum.

My 2011 Traditional Gibson Les Paul in Desert Burst. I took off the scratch plate and pickup selector switch surround.

So I'm looking for a cheap western guitar, nothing fancy, all I wanna do is jam a little while sitting in my bed in the morning. I've been looking at this but I've never heard much about Tanglewood guitars. Any experience with this brand ? I quite like this particular finish and it sounded pretty good at the store. Any other suggestions that I should look into ? Crossroad Tanglewood TWCR O

_ This is the kit i'm playing these days. It's not finished yet, so it is always evolving but these pictures are only a few months old so it's not much different. The main kit is a Tama Starclassic Crystal Ice mounted on a Yamaha hex rack. The snare is a Mapex brass master. Tama speed cobra pedals with vruk heelplate attachments and a speed cobra hihat stand. Cymbals are a mix of Zildjians and Sabians. I've also got a PDP Concept Classic maple kit in very Bonham-esque sizes, but it isn't set up right now.

An acoustic guitar (nylon strings). There's no name on the headstock. A Yamaha acoustic guitar (steel strings). A small pink acoustic guitar (steel strings). No name on this one either...there probably is one under the paint though. A Squier stratocaster (my first guitar). A 12-string Danelectro guitar (my latest guitar).
A ukulele. A mandolin.

A 12-string Danelectro guitar (my latest guitar). A mandolin. Join my indie-pop band lightning master. we need those McCarthy-ish 12 string vibes. Legit also thinking of buying a mandolin. How are those to look after/restring/own etc? (btw, didn't you once have a jaguar? or am i thinking of someone else from the #metbb indie crew?)

Hm, well to be honest I don't play it that often at all. Most of the time I keep it in its case and I haven't restrung it since buying it (some years ago now). Basically each time I play it I'm reminded of why I bought it though, 'cause I just love the sound of it. I usually get an urge to play it when listening to Fisherman's blues by The Waterboys. Love playing along to that. Maggie May by Rod Stewart is fun also. Just wish I could find a way to include it in my own songs but so far it hasn't really felt like it Needs to be in any of the ones I've recorded/started recording. Hopefully I'll come up with something sooner or later though. Nope, haven't got one or owned one in the past. Wish I had a jazzmaster though. I think I made a thread about it on the old forum actually when I was thinking of buying one.
