What a dumbass Nah fuck you, just think about it. One B-52 Flying Fortress bombardier could easily have been responsible for as many direct deaths as either the Enola Gay or Bockscar crews. They absolutely and completely annihilated the entire country of Germany in the lead up to V-E Day. MILLIONS of deaths, not hundreds of thoudands. As far as death camp officers and whatnot, that's really hard to quantify. We know they killed millions of Jews, but it was a concerted effort across an entire swathe of the military, not a few bombardiers or pilots. So, in summation; Lee, suck my nuts, I'm probably right. Though we do also have to consider guys like Hitler, Stalin, and Eisenhower themselves, whose single decisions also doomed in some cases millions of people. |

First of all, Speedy, you fat taint, the total number of strategic bombing deaths over Europe and Japan for WWII are: Germany: 353,000–635,000 civilians killed Japan: 330,000–500,000 civilians killed Italy: 60,000–100,000 civilians killed 5,000 soldiers killed Romania: 9,000 civilians killed or wounded Second of all, it wasn't 'a few' bombardiers or pilots. It was thousands. And the casualties from strategic bombing was spread out among these thousands of bombardiers. It seems likely, then, that the atomic bomb bombardiers could have casualty numbers that surpassed any one strategic bombing bombardier. And if Auschwitz, for example, had a few SS guards who handled the physical pouring of Zyklon B pellets into the gas chambers, then they would almost certainly have more kills on their record. Third of all, Hitler, Stalin and Eisenhower are irrelevant to this discussion as this discussion only deals with direct killings. Even so, Stalin likely has a few from his time as a bandit and bank robber, Hitler may have killed someone in WWI and Eisenhower was never in combat.
