Big production tours force them to have an almost moment by moment choreographed stage show.
I liked the old days with random jams and going into a show not knowing James will get on his knees here, hold the note for feedback there and fade that into the opening notes for Song X. Every night.
Also not a fan of using tapes for intros... just jam out the bit, make it quirky, mess with it or just leave it out.
