If you cut out Revenge, Murder, and the pointless heavy slow part of Spit, it'd be their best album. Agree about dropping that annoying part in Spit, but Revenge and Murder can stay. It’s Hardwired and ManUnKind that have to be dropped. |

It’s Hardwired and ManUnKind that have to be dropped. Spit is probably the least listened to of all the songs for me, for this very reason. It's like they managed to break free of the shackles and rekindle the fire, only to be dragged back to the lulls of St Anger-esque nonsensical ramblings... |

I really like that slow crunching part, they could have introduced it earlier though and removed the a bit draggy riffs leading up to it.

Oh, I forgot about Lords of Summer. It has definitely grown on me. I really like it now, and I think it's definitely better than more than half of the actual songs on the album. Actually, I think it's the fifth best song on the album, behind Hardwired, Dream No More, Am I Savage? and Spit Out the Bone. I might even place it above Spit, and definitely above Moth.

Kill the king is better than 11/12ths of HWTSD.
LOS was best on the first version. As it stands, its probably in the same realm as "Death is not the End".

Even though I said Murder One was stock, I kinda like the bouncy riff and the vocal delivery by Het is good.

Any one else find that the ending of Halo on Fire is strikingly similar to the ending of Ritual by Ghost? I know James is a big fan, you think there was some subconscious inspiration?

Yeah, at 3:50, sounds like the Hello Darkness say good by bit but a bit faster. Play both in your head at the same time and they will soon merge into one.
