British people's teeth are fine, they're just not obsessed with artificially whitening their teeth to make them look like paper for no reason.
I don't know if flossing is necessary or not but it wouldn't surprise me at all if there are people who want me to think that it's more important than it actually is.

Looks like it can go either way. My teeth just feel cleaner afterwards, so Ill keep flossing. The last pack I bought was like $6 and lasts me a couple months, so it aint like theyre getting rich off me.

I can't be bothered flossing. Cleaning of teeth is already an annoying thing to have to do, I'm not adding to it. My dentist did mention I probably should start flossing, but what the FUCK would he know?

I floss semi-regularly now, but there was once where I went into an appointment and I had not flossed at all in the six months since my last appointment except for the previous night, and the dentist complimented me because he said he could tell that I floss regularly. I'm not saying that all dentists are hacks, or even that that particular dentist is a hack, but sometimes they are just straight-up wrong.

That's cause someone flossed you while you were sleeping.

And he didn't use floss to do it either.

Never ever did it. I go to the dentist regularly, there's nothing wrong with my teeth and I was never told to floss by any dentist.

Never ever flossed. I wash my teeth every night, that's enough. Never had a cavity, breath smells good, teeth and gums are in good condition.

I'm in favor of flossing as often as possible.
