Fear of the dark, Afraid to shoot strangers, Wasting love and Childhood's end are great. Be quick or be dead and From here to eternity are good. The rest is okay.

FotD has some great songs, but I really hate From Here to Eternity and Chains of Misery. The production's also kind of dodgy at times. I like the album, but I can't say that I love it.

I have a question to those who has the Book of Souls on Cd. What do you think about the production? I really find it disappointing but it might be related to my cars really bad speakers.

I don't dislike the production but there is definite dullness you hear when the album follows something a little more fresh sounding. All these descriptions are so subjective though but yes its a little "thick" (?). Within a few moments into whatever track I'm good with it.

I agree with the poll, Seventh Son is probably their best album.

This poll represents my Maiden album ranking pretty well. Number of the Beast being the only album I'm surprised to see have so few votes. It's probably my 4th favorite.

So far, I haven't understood Iron Maiden's "greatness", maybe because I can't stand Bruce Dick In Son's vocals.

That post would be so much more effective if you didn't use quote marks or resort to childish puns.

That post would be so much more effective if you didn't use quote marks or resort to childish puns. Two things: 1) I'm stupid. 2) I typed that message from my perspective, so there is no greatness to be found, in my humble opinion.

I really don't like Janick, bit of a poser I reckon, and unnecessary since Adrian returned.
That bit around the 5 minute mark of the above clip reminded me why. You could almost ruin the riff by doing shit like that.

You could almost ruin the riff by doing shit like that. To me, he's the Jason Newsted of Iron Maiden. An over excited fan tryna fit in but just looking like a bit of a dick. That's probably not the case for either of them but it's how it comes across to me.

Show's on Tuesday! Can't wait! Also, I understand why Janick throws people off, but I personally enjoy him. He's having a good time and I can respect that. What pisses me off a bit though (not that this has to do with anyone here) is when people say things along the lines of "I don't know why the band continues to tolerate Janick ruining their shows," which I see a lot, because for one thing he's not ruining shit and for another thing the idea that the band is merely "tolerating" him is frankly pretty insulting to the band. He's still in the band because they're friends and they enjoy playing together.

When I saw them a few years back he took nothing at all away from the show. I enjoyed every minute of it and I'm sure I will again in a couple of weeks.
Plus the third guitar works well for Maiden live with all the harmonies going on.

I already had high expectations, but Maiden exceeded them. I can't even accurately describe how much I loved last night's show.

I didn't even post after I saw them but holy shit it was a great show. Like, amazing. Bruce sounded spectacular and the stage and pyro spectacle was the best I've seen.
They really know how to put on a show.

Damn, I was standing right next to a MetBBer for a few hours and had no idea. That shoving match during The Trooper was pretty entertaining.

I apologize for the terrible singing I subjected you to haha. And that dude was pissing me off. When he kept pushing forward I literally grabbed him and dragged him back. I wonder if he ended up getting kicked out or something.
