Number of the Beast blew everyone away because it was 1980.

Brave New World Dance of Death Seventh son...
Fuck! I haven't even heard the new album yet. I must go stand in the corner and feel shame.

If you're going to be sitting in a corner, might as well listen to the album in the meantime.

Lots to absorb so get on it. Took a few listens for me, but I rate it much higher now than when it was first out.

I'll have to have my hubby get on that for me. It took me a few listens with Dance of Death too, but I spend a few listens just focusing on the guitar first. :) And it is nice to be seen sir. ;)

I looked at the setlist because I couldn't help myself. I'm very happy with it personally. I'll put a spoiler for people who are going and don't want to know anything about it. I don't think there are as many staples as there typically are. They did a good job making room for a lot of new stuff. Six new songs total, including The Red and the Black, which makes me extremely happy. Also, Powerslave! And Blood Brothers in the encore! That should be fantastic.
Have they ever closed with Wasted Years? That's kind of an interesting choice.

Goddamnit I can't wait to see Maiden in april. It'll be my first time. There's more Book of Souls songs on that set than I expected, but it looks like a great set overall so i'm not complaining. I wonder if they'll change it up at all for future dates.

Could have done without..... The Red & The Black .... though. I agree That and Tears Of A Clown are the two worst songs on the album imo.

I think Tears of a clown is the best song on the album.

It's a bit long but I love the title song. Bruce's delivery is amazing.

No one is talking about Bruce's voice on this tour? Do you think he seems to be affected by the cancer (treatment) or does he sound as good as before or even better? I listened to Powerslave from the first show and he sounded great to me and was able to hit more or less all of the higher notes.

I listened to Powerslave from the first show and he sounded great to me and was able to hit more or less all of the higher notes. I listened to The Book of Souls on the first show and it seemed really hard on him. The first chorus in particular seemed really rough. Since then though apparently he's made some adjustments to his delivery and is singing a lot better. Besides that and maybe The Red and the Black he sounds just as good as he has in the past several years. I think he's completely kicked cancer's ass.

I saw a show from Vegas (I think) and i loved the setlist. Good amount of Book of Souls material (can't wait to see the title track live) and some classics still (obviously).
Bruce sounded solid too. Like, he was straining on the BoS album but he's still giving it.

Book of Souls is great. The Great Unknown is probably my favourite track.

The show was awesome, the new songs sound great live, especially the title track. Bruce's voice sounded kind of tired towards the last couple of tracks, but overall it was a great experience.

Anyone else a fan of Fear of the Dark? I love that album. Yup. Love that album. I remember borrowing the vinyl from the library back in the day. I keep an eye out for it on eBay/Discogs but it goes for silly money these days.
