Let us discuss this immense band. The poll (if it worked) should allow you to pick three favourite albums.

Neat poll.
Powerslave, A Matter of Life and Death and The Book of Souls for me at the moment.
Can't wait for the tour to start later this month so I can see what the setlist looks like.

Great band, hope I get to see them again, preferably not after a day on the beers

I went with Piece of Mind, Brave New World and A Matter of Life and Death. They've been my top three for a while.
Still undecided on whether to try to catch them at Download, so I'm going to try to avoid setlist spoilers if I can. I'm curious to see what new songs they'll play.

Brave New World Powerslave Seventh Son
Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind and A Matter of Life and Death would be the next tier.

Everything up to Seventh Son is essential. Post reunion albums are overrated but could have potentially been awesome if they didn't go for the quantity over quality route.

Powerslave, No prayer for the dying, Brave new world.
You just gotta love Maiden. These guys hold a special place in my heart. Will see them again at this year's Wacken Open Air.

Seventh Son, Brave New World, Dance of Death. I never liked the "classic 80s albums" as whole albums that much, other than Seventh Son. For me, before Brave New World, Iron Maiden was a fantastic "greatest hits band". My first contact with Maiden was through the Best of the Beast compilation album, which may have something to do with that.
Oh, and by the way - I love how the poll works in real time! Really neat. :)

Not really my band... I'm seeing them in June though, but only because Ghost is warming up

I wish I were seeing Maiden somewhere where Ghost or Anthrax is opening, but alas I just get to see The Raven Age. I listened to the one EP they have and it's pretty fucking boring, so I don't think I'll be in any rush getting to the venue.
Also, no votes for the debut? Odd. If this poll allowed four choices I think I would include that

Seventh son of a seventh son Somewhere in time Iron Maiden
I love most of their stuff. I haven't really taken the time to check out the Blaze years that much though.

I picked Killers / Piece of Mind / Powerslave but I could easily pick 5 or 6 because of the high quality of releases.
Was stoked with AMOLAD when it came out, then disappointed with Final Frontier.
This new double album has finally clicked with me. Was hard to absorb initially, but I'm really enjoying it now.

That is a pretty cool poll. Love the real time changing. And I went with:
Seventh Son AMOLAD Book of Souls
I didn't think Book of Souls would have taken over Powerslave, but it is still getting regular almost weekly complete spins.

Somewhere In Time, Powerslave and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son for me. Same here. It doesn't get better than this for Maiden. Essential albums although I'd also add Live After Death into the mix too.

Live After Death is essential as well. I know some people give Somewhere In Time shit for the guitar-synths and because it is considered to be 'Maiden-lite,' but it is such a beautiful, well-produced album with great riffs and melodies.

I just don't love Somewhere in Time personally. Sea of Madness, Long-Distance Runner and Alexander the Great don't do much of anything for me. The other songs are great but there's too much on the album that I don't particularly enjoy for me to come back to it very often.

I kind of feel the same way about Number of The Beast that you do about Somewhere In Time. I never understood the Beast-worship, but that's just me.

SIT, SSOASS, BNW.
They're coming here in July I think, but it's ridiculously overpriced compared with the last time (2013) and I've already seen them 2 or 3 times.

Track 3-6 are okay - good but they kinda drag the otherwise great quality of the album down a bit.

Also the production and sound is so bad (know it's polarizing) but the songs also are just a bit too, I dunno, Maiden by numbers. "Alexander The Great" the biggest culprit. Title track I like and "Wasted Years" has their most delicious chorus but I don't listen to it much. EDIT: I also don't get the Number of the Beast worship.

Beast is massively overrated. Sure, some absolute classics on that album, but more than a couple filler tracks as well.
