New album, out 1.1.17 The last one didn't top Acheron for me, but it was still pretty good.

Never heard of them, what are they like? "Symphonic Cyber Metal." Like Fear Factory on a more complex level, with futuristic, interplanetary themes. I remember them embracing the term 'Mass Effect Metal' put upon them. My favorite album of theirs. Give it patience.

Yeah that definitely is soundtrack metal, thought I was going into the terminator theme there.

Cool band. It sucks that I no longer have the time to put on the headphones and focus on the entire album without any interruption. Sad. Real sad. Their albums should be experienced a lot more if listened to as a whole.

That video says 12 - 05 - 16, not 1 - 1 - 17.
Got to admire Joe Tiberi's work ethic, and it's really cool how he seems to have a solid vision and direction for this story and this universe he's created in general. That said, Progenitor does really feel like it could have been better had he spent a bit more time on it. Still far from a bad album, I just hope that that doesn't become a trend.

They keep posting 1-1-17 on their FB as the release date. I think 12-5-16 is the first single.

Cool stuff, never heard this band before, glad I just did. Definitely something I could get in to. Sounds like Demanufacture meets Profit of the Last Eclipse. Awesome.

I just listened to the five albums so far in the "As Embers Turn to Dust" saga. Here's how I would rank them so far.
1. Acheron
2. Xenon
3. Progenitor
4. Empyeran
5. Conqueror
All five albums are at least solid overall, so Mechina has a great track record so far.

They're still listed on metal archives as unsigned/independent...is it deliberate?

Another band I learned from our good old forum. I need to revisit their albums.
