The delivery of: ....same rise/and/fall (snare fill) who cares/at/all (snare fill) seduced/by/fame *pause* vocal on its own then the instruments kick in.
I feel like I've heard that a few times before in Metallica songs, probably DM or BM. Hardwired has a similar snare fill with DA/DA/DA but I don't think that's the example I'm thinking of.
I might have got the lyrics wrong. Haven't listened for a while, I want the whole album to be fresh.

It sounds like an Iron Maiden chorus...can any experts confirm this?

I haven't heard much Maiden.....definitely recent Metallica but I can't think of what song it might be. Can you listen to DM and BM and let me know?

Maybe you're thinking of Judas Kiss.

Yup, it's Judas, just like the verses in Creeping Death are pretty much exactly the same as the bridge section in The Four Horsemen.

The verses of Moth, not saying it's intentional or known by Het, sounds like vocal phrasing I've heard before.

I'm not talking about the verse in Horsemen, I meant the "Time has taken it's toll on you. The lines that crack your face...". It's pretty much the exact same melody as the verses in Creep.
Also pretty much exactly the same as the verses in End of the Line.
The point being that Metallica recycles itself all the time, as do a lot of bands. How many Iron Maiden songs are based around pretty much the exact same 3 chords?

E minor, C and D? A lot! ; D Yup. Sometimes it's in a different key, like D minor (Fear of the Dark, Brave New World), but yeah...

I actually think the verses lines flow like they do in 'end of the line'. Melody is a lot different obviously, but the lyric arrangement seems similar

When I heard the song first time, the verse phrasing made me think of Bob Rock saying 'You did one good thing there....DA DA da da dadadada DA DA' and pointing accents in the air, a la Frantic

Sad But True also can't be left out of the similar vocal melodies discussion.

Fuck it, it all sounds the same. They only wrote one song and have recycled it 200 times over, oh wait, thought I was in the Slayer thread.

I give it 6/10 and that's pushing it at this point. The radio is overplaying it and I'm catching myself listening to only parts of it anymore. Something's better than nothing But I need more.....

What radio station are you listening to? And why are you listening to the radio so much?

What radio station are you listening to? And why are you listening to the radio so much? WRBR 103.9 the Bear. I listen to the radio in the car occasionally. I usually just use my aux cord for music but other times I just settle for the radio.
