It really did look bad, although it was only a really rough demo, still driiving around blowing shit up while listening to the following would be fun, but you really don't need a new game for that:

I like the idea of a Metallica game. But I thought that the one they were proposing seemed like it was just a driving game with some Metallica music on top. I tell you what would be awesome though: a game in the vein of The Walking Dead one, the premise being that you follow the story of Metallica but get to make choices that effect the arc of the game. So for example, you can choose to never fire Dave Mustaine. That might be kinda cool. Hokey, but fun. |

I was never excited for this game. It looked like shit so I didn't care it got canned.
