Barca back on track now Four goals and three assists for my main man Suarez tonight, if Flash Scores is to be believed. Everton were proper shite tonight. Even before the red card we were far superior to them. Martinez is surely on borrowed time now. Disappointed it was only 4-0, should've been seven or eight.

Yeah, he even missed a the biggest opportunity in the entire game I can't wait too see what Klopp will do with then in the window, I hope they get more competitive next season

Buying only players of potential and zero proven performers, when they had already flirted with relegation for years was a massive fuck-up. That and handing in the keys to that Sherwood retard.

It's been a while since a lower league Scottish update. All that matters is that, last day of the season, is an Angus derby, Brechin vs Forfar (I think at Glebe Park). Forfar currently in 10th place (the automatic relegation spot) with 34 points and Brechin in 9th with 36 (and drawn into the playoff for League 2). Stenhousemuir (8th) are on 37 points and Cowdenbeath (7th) 39 and play each other this weekend (the second last of the season). Absolutely buzzing. That's Forfar oot now. I'm quite disappointed really because I was beyond ready for a "loser goes down" game against us next week. Worse, worse, is that with Montrose and Arbroath mired in League 2, Brechin is not going to get an Angus derby next season. </3 However, Stenny and Brechin got a win today and so the bottom of the table now goes: 7. Stenhousemuir 40 8. Brechin City 39* -------------------------- 9. Cowdenbeath 39* -------------------------- 10. Forfar Athletic 34 (R) Plenty to play for next week, boys! *the goal difference between Cowdenbeath and Brechin is something like 10 goals (and closer to 20 with Brechin and Stenny) so that's probably no going to factor in**, eh. **that said, there was a situation a few years ago when an absolutely ridiculous amount of goals had to be scored to change the standings on the last day of the season and the team that had to made the difference only went and won 8-0 or something. cannot for the life of me remember who or which league but that was a fun episode of Sportscene.

Two more points pissed up the wall today. That's seven dropped now from being 2-0 and cruising in recent weeks. Defence really needs sorting out. Doesn't help Sakho is probably going to get banned for taking fat burning pills.

What are the bets Mourinho goes to Man Utd? Likely now that Guardiola is going to City imo, also LVG is awful with the media lol.

Jesus, just read an article saying Leicester would be better off coming 2nd than 1st because they'd have to pay out less money in bonuses. Yeah, cause saving a bit of money is better than winning the league. Just another example of money ruining this sport.

Walker shoves Matic in the back - no penalty; Walker slightly kicks Pedro while he's down - no card; Rose upends two different players - no card; Dembele scratches Costa in the eye - no card.
so basically, Spurs felt the pressure and started acting like little shits, Clattenburg let them get away with murder, and they grew into the game.
Also, shocking Chelsea defending, not new this season.

Suck it Clattenburg. That has to be the most spineless refereeing in a vital match I can remember.
Tottenham completely lost their heads and should have had players sent off in the first half alone.

Europa League final! Get the fuck in there! Gonna be a tough one against Sevilla, but we certainly have enough quality to beat them.

Would Liverpool winning the EL (and getting a spot in next years CL) affect the number of CL places handed out in the Premier League?

Would Liverpool winning the EL (and getting a spot in next years CL) affect the number of CL places handed out in the Premier League? Only if they occupied one of the places before hand, and they don't. So no

Are you sure? I recall when Spurs finished 4th but ended up without CL qualification since Chelsea won the CL and finished 6th in the league.
This is from a Guardian article (http://www.theguardian.com/football/2012/may/20/harry-redknapp-spurs-europa-league):
"Normally, finishing fourth would have guaranteed them a qualifying place for the Champions League but with Chelsea winning the trophy having finished sixth it is they who take the last of England's four places in Europe's elite competition, qualifying automatically for the group stages."

That doesn't sound right to me, Spain had 5 teams in CL this season, because Sevilla won Europa League and didn't end up in top 4.

Rules have changed recently enabling the top four and Europa winner into the CL. I think fourth place would only miss out if both CL and Europa winners came from the same league and both finished outside the top four.
