Meanwhile on my side of the world, we have semi finals this weekend. Brisbane's keeper slashed his arm open on a rusty net hook during the Asian Champions Leg game during the week and with their other keeper also injured, they may be forced to play some untested 19 year old kid in their final tonight. Yep the FFA runs a tight professional outfit.

The ref is an inflexible moron for giving him the second yellow and they're even more moronic by enforcing it.
At the same time no action for the crowd trouble because their regulation lets them out of trouble because it's "only" 10 people or something. Zero tolerance should the case and I hope they switch to it.

So close for Champions League places this season, it's coming down to the last 2/3 matches. Liverpool needs to win their last 2 matches to be certain imo.

That wasn't cheap. That was fucking smart. I'm amazed more teams don't do stuff like that. It's cheeky from him, sure. But the ref is standing in front of the Sevilla players, Nacho pulls the ball to the right instead of scoring from the proper spot so as to have a clear line to goal, and the ref isn't even looking so he can't know if the ball wasn't rolling etc... Nacho shouldn't be criticised, but as it happened the ref pretty much offered him a goal. And it's at the Bernabeu, if Sevilla did the same the player would get a card, you can bet on it. |
