Anyone like Repentless? I though it decent considering KK wrote most of it himself. What with Jeff dying and Lombardo leaving the band as well, i think Tom was also considering winding up the band. The only songs i don't like off it are Pride and Prejudice and Vices, the rest of it rocks like a mf imo tbh. SSSLLLAYYERRRRR |

Meh. Repentless is decent, but it's nothing spectacular. Kinda reminds me of World Painted Blood in that sense. To me, the last great Slayer album was (and probably forever will be) Christ Illusion.

The album was very impressive considering the band had lost Jeff and Dave. My favorite songs were Cast The First Stone, When The Stillness Comes, Chasing Death, Implode and Piano Wire (which are all coincidentally next to each other). I didn't really care for Atrocity Vendor that much but it wasn't bad. Great album. |

Slayer gets a lot of shit because if KK being an ass, but still one of my top 20 or so favorite bands.
And while I enjoyed Repentless, it lacked a bit of the freshness and honesty I felt Dystopia had.

Hell Awaits, RIB, South are my top 3. The production on South is incredible, favourite songs are the first 3 and Cleanse the Soul. Seasons has the same organic vibe but guitars sound tiny and there's a few bland songs like Dead Skin Mask or Skeletons of Society. After that they embraced the cleaner, uber fat, overproduced type of sound that made Metallica and Pantera huge but just doesn't suit Slayer and their unique vibe was lost. I can't stand Slayer with proper production, and Tom is as bad at screamo/hardcore vocals than he was at doing Paul DiAnno/Halford falsettos on his first album.

I always wanted the spot, but HR was so clever with his damn hash tags and tbh imo, I never stood a chance.
I couldn't accept defeat, so I laid a master plan down before you all. I built HR up, knowing full well his arrogance would force him into over playing his hand. A nudge here and there and in no time he was resorting to bigotry for attention, as he needed to up his game to keep his troll status.
It was only a matter of time before the trap was sprung, the mods swooped in, and he ranted to the Others a out the Free Folk on this side. It was then that I dropped the facade and explained my true feelings on HR.
And they say you can still hear the ring of the ban hammer to this day.

Then he made a thread on the official forum sucking up to the mods over there in the most embarrassing and transparent way possible. He received one reply saying " as it's you - i'll take this with a pinch of salt ". The thread was soon deleted. He then tried to re join here under a new name but he had the exact same IP as Hetfield's Rage and was denied. So. Many Lols. |
