2008 was when I first started following their gigs online from all over the world.......after 8 years it no longer seems fun to find out song-by-song whether they played Sandman before or after NEM

Meh, they're fun when you're there type songs. On the plus side, now NEM can't bring down the energy of the show because it's at the end. Whiskey is never fun, only when you drink it. Nem will totally bring down the energy, I don't understand why they wanna go out like that. Yes Sandman makes everyone go nuts, but having NEM in the second last slot is a mistake. Before we start naysaying, let's just consider that these setlists look very much like the kind of set they play at the summer Euro festivals. We all know that when they hit the arenas, the sets become more varied and less by rote.
None of the lese gigs are, for me, part of the Hardwired tour. Even if they are marketed as such. They're jus a bunch of gigs with a greatest hits sets.

I was in Gelsenkirchen last year when they first switched Sandman with Seek. It was really refreshing not to hear Seek at the end. Much more enjoyable. I agree about Nothing though but the thing is you can't do a banter before Sandman.

The should close with Whiplash or something. If they are going to play Seek it should be like the second song, Sandman in the middle somewhere would be cool, and NEM should be burned alive if you could burn sound.

Again.... don't judge an entire tour based on these one offs. Once they get into the tour "proper" we'll no doubt see all manner of songs appear. Can't imagine that Cyanide won't make a regular appearance....

I would love if they pulled out TEOTL in Copenhagen, such an amazing live song which somehow fits the indoor atmosphere much better than a stadium gig |

It's crazy to think it's been 6 years since That Was Just Your Life, End of The Line, Unforgiven 3, and The Judas Kiss were played, and 5 years since both Suicide and Redemption and My Apocalypse were played at the Fillmore.
And what...3 years? since Broken, Beat and Scarred, All Nightmare Long or The Day That Never Comes were played. I'm pretty sure they were last played in 2013. And I'm sure Cyanide has had a few plays over the last year or two.
I'd be somewhat pleased if Cyanide was in regular rotation, but I'd be much happier if they chucked a DM song in every night. Life, Line, Cyanide and Day are all such good live songs.

They really are kicking ass live right now. James is on another level, Lars is keeping time. Kirk hasn't really sucked that hard.
