I Thought this would be a good idea, so the other thread could be just for people who are going, went to a concert, stories and stuff, and not just random posted tour video.
I would also suggest date/location labeling if it isn't on the video.

The LiveMet is out and it's one of the best sounding ones they've ever done. It's almost on caliber with the album's bonus disc. No wonder it took them so long to get out.

That mix is superb, much like the Rasputin mix he did for the third CD and the Bataclan one. Everywhere I go people say the drums sound good in those "regular" LM recordings. I think they sound like shit. They sound worse than they did in 2004 and 2006 imo. This is more like it. |

I can't tell if the snare has samples under it for this/the live cuts on disc three or not. But either way, it sounds so much better than any other live Metallica release other than TTN that I can't complain.

For me the strength of the Disc 3 show is in the performance. I'd already bought that show and loved it, the good mix just makes it even better.

I do wish that they just used it as a record store release next year though. RIP to the riff origins. However to be fair, I bet the riff origins physically couldn't fit on the disc so they had to cut it. Judging by what they said about the song lengths in interviews, and the LOS demo length vs the studio version. |

Watched it now. Fucking great! The only bad thing was that Rob didn't dare to sing the higher harmony in the chorus as he does nowadays (even though he does it with some distance to the mic...).
