it's alright, 6/10. Way better than Hardwired. Can't way for the concerts to see the song made unlistenable by Kirk butchering that lead he does before the chorus.

St. Anger IS better. Both the song and the album. It's not the absolute worst thing ever, but it's not very far.

Any author of St.Anger other than an already successful band, and the label would have laughed them out of the room.

Love it :) The only thing I'm not super keen on is the solo

Any author of St.Anger other than an already successful band, and the label would have laughed them out of the room. As it is? Probably. With some more work and polishing? No way. The song material is there, man. It's great. It's just hidden beneath the tinny snare and the baffling choices in song structure.

Okay, but St.Anger is "as it is". Meaning, "baffling choices in song structure".

It would be a great album if you changed everything about it!

It would be a great album if you changed everything about it! If you changed it as much as the STANGER2015 fan edit did, it would a fantastic album.

I like St. Anger, way more than most anyone I've ever talked to. This is better imo. Lars is playing well...Did I just type that?

I'll copy my post from Judas:
I must have listened to Moth 30+ times today. Absolutely loving it. I'm even starting to like Hardwired more as I'm using it to break up Moth listens.

I'm wearing it out, I don't care. There's time to wear it out, not listen to it for a month and start loving it again when the album arrives.

If anything it makes me actually excited about the new album now. It's good. I just hope that shitty solo is not in every song.

Oh come on Alan, you know it will be, as well as those lame break downs after ever second chorus. Still love it, but at this point I'm just happy with whatever I can get.

I love it but I hope for a heavy song like Sad but true or -Human. Some kind of monster was kind of heavy but that one sucked ass.

Man... If they busted out studio versions of No Leaf Clover and -Human one day, I could die a happy man. Those two are definitely the most underrated gems in the Metallica catalog.

Isn't S&M heavily touched up anyway? Don't think a new version would be much better.
