Well, that run of shows were really cool, especially the last one. That setlist with Dream, Day, Ride, Whiplash and TV Eye... I've got no complaints at all, maybe the drum thing they did before Dead was a bit lame but I hope they'll improve it over the course of the tour. But hey, we can really embrace that drum battle when they'll play the Lollapalooza gigs, since they are going to be proshots.

Holy shit that was so good. What tuning are they playing that in?....it's WAY low. It's in Db. Hearing it like this makes me wish they'd have recorded it in Db too. Sounds real fuckin' mean. |

Damn, this sounds REALLY good. Once Rob gets the vocals down more too, it'll sound better, though I wish James just sang the chorus.
Also, seeing this in Db standard makes me wish they also start doing Sad in this tuning instead of the original D standard.

Man, Iggy Pop is such a badass and it's really inspiring seeing someone his age still rocking out like he does.  That was a great and really fun performance! You could see the band were really into it as well. |

Wow, never would have expected TV Eye to be played by Metallica.
Its nice when their surprises are good ones.
Within a setlist that includes Dream debut I might splurge on the LiveMet disc for this show

You know a performance is good when even with the livemet mix it is awesome. No, it's not. It's decent/okay minus... I find it hard to enjoy that because the drums sound so shit - AGAIN. Everything else is okay, just fucking do something with the drums and I'm never gonna complain about LiveMetallica ever again. Who am I kidding, I enjoyed it. It's a live debut after all. But still, I'm laughing at the fact they can charge money for these last shows. Good for them, I guess. |

And I've worked out what's different about the verses, they're not doing the palm muting, it's all open string, so that chug from the studio version isn't present.
Not complaining, it's just different.

The bass sounds great in the mix, but yeah the drums sound shit.
And I'm still not the biggest fan of Het's latest guitar sound, you can really notice it on songs like this.
But I still loved the performance and this song is one of my favourites.
