Well that was a nice kick to balls to wake me up. God I love FFWF. James is on fire, besides that Mickey Mouse scream that is.

That was played on the stage screen immediately after the fireworks, pretty neat. Also first song of the encore they were showing pictures of ticket stubs from when they first played here, '93 I think.

They played Frantic first time since 2011. ...As well as Disposable heroes, The God that failed and Lords of summer.

What's up with the beginning of the verses? It doesn't sound like it's Lars in this case to my ears. Sounds like it's Rob and that he comes in too late?

I think that might be James actually. Listening to that video and another one from the gig, it sounds (and looks) like James starts the verse a bit too early, and Lars and Rob have to catch up. Lars definitely fucks up during the choruses, though. Also during the second verse, lol. They definitely didn't rehearse this one enough, if much at all. Also I have unflattering things to say about that verse guitar tone, yikes.
e: I think James might not be late, but he definitely has some awkward phrasing going on at the start of both verses and the guitar is not entirely on time. Lars sounds like he's as perfect as can be timing wise, which is a little shocking.

Yikes @ that St. Anger performance. Can't remember the last time they botched a song that much.

Yeah, you're right, it is James. : O As you say it looks like he starts it a bit too early. Can't really tell if it's the same for the second verse though, 'cause to me it looks like he starts playing it at the right time, but it surely doesn't sound like that though.

Second verse could be Kirk fucking up in response. Who knows, it's kind of a total mess either way. Guessing it won't be one of the Met on Tour highlights for that gig!

They already can't play it for shit as witnessed above. I hope they take it as a sign that maybe they shouldn't bother playing some of their shittiest material live. What a waste of time. FFS, Load was a successful record and had legitimate hits. And they don't play ANYTHING from it. WTF.

Lol, what a mess. That bad sharp note he keeps hitting for the clean part is painful. It sounds like those you tube vids where they auto tune everything to major and it sounds all happy.

James started a bit too early, it fucked up Lars, then in the second verse Lars missed the first hi-hat note and fucked up his tempo and he had to catch up, at least that what it sounded. Wonder why they're playing St. Anger songs. I want to hear Until It Sleeps.

I think they're playing St Anger songs cos James has that horseshoe stache again. He likes to feel like a big tough man so he plays those aggressive songs. I'm surprised he hasn't started drinking again and spitting all over the stage as well.

James kind of has no business singing St. Anger anymore either, judging by how strained he gets in the higher parts. I don't understand what the logic here was. Who craved for more St. Anger?

That Frantic performance was pretty cool, have I forgotten the song or did they change up the arrangement slightly?
Anyway, speaking of bad performances, here’s another god awful performance of The God That Failed (get it), arguably Metallica’s worst ever live song.

I enjoyed the Frantic video. Song is decent live. Now play more Load/Reload stuff please.

Jesus fucking christ James has aged these last 5 years... Unless it's just the new style making him look way older! I was surprised how good he looked for his age when I met him in 2013.
