Normally I wouldn't dig music like this (female fronted, one that is rooted in the hardcore / post-hardcore scene) but the two songs that have been released from their third album out this month I am loving.
It has the guitarist from the fantastic Belgian black metal band Wiegedood in it and after checking out their first 2 albums, I realized they've brought more and more BM into their sound.
It's like Deafheaven, but not shit.

Saw them live last week at Amplifest. Will dig into them and the rest of the bands at the fest soon..since I went only for Neurosis. But they seemed much more vicious than Deafheaven and not "spacey" at all..

I feel like the thread title was designed to try to infuriate and excite Bartman in equal measure. Very well done.
Song sounds OK, not my sort of thing generally though.

So since Deafheaven isn't shit, does that mean that Oathbreaker is shit?

I'm surprised I've been enjoying it as much as I have. But it's damn fine stuff. And yes. Deafheaven are rubbish. New Bermuda had its moments, but it wasn't good enough on the whole for me.

I don't have a problem with Deafheaven like some trve metalheads do, but I gave their records a fair chance and just thought it wasn't above average quality music

I don't know much about Deafheaven except that I couldn't get into the music but really like their tshirt designs, I was expecting to be not so impressed but it was pretty cool thanks to the vocals.
Not something I could listen to all day but certainly enjoyable if you are inthe mood.

Came home to see this on my doorstep. Fantastic album. I just re-jigged my Amazon order for this. They don't know when they were going to get it, but another seller had it for cheaper and would get it to me in a few weeks. I've gone through quite a few tracks though on YouTube since the label uploaded it all and I'm so impressed by it. Great album so far. Can't wait to hear it all.

Amazon has been more of a last resort for vinyl lately. They always say something is in stock and should be delivered by certain date and then it gets delayed. It's happened most recently with the new Ghost EP.

That happens to me too, but then I email and gently complain, which 99% of the time results in me getting it free shipping after they've miraculously found a copy.
