So who would you guys like to see opening for metallica? These are my suggestions, which may be a bit far fetched:
Cage - fellow Bay area brothers, coming out with new album in the coming months as well
Iced Earth - probably one of the biggest true metal bands out there today but could garner a ton of new fans on your with Met. Also coming out with a new album soon.
Overkill - fellow thrash pioneers always put on a ridiculous show. New album Grinding Wheel in November.
Rebellion - Awesome band from Germany (sound a bit like Grave Digger but 100X better, probably my second favorite after Metallica, have never toured US. Definitely a pipe dream but hey a man can dream.

Either St Vitus or Pentagram would be phenomenal, or maybe Candlemass. Imagine St Vitus playing 'Born too Late' with a 50kW PA to 50k people. That'd be as heavy as ten Airbus A380s land-crashing at the same time.

Won't happen since they're too big now, but: GHOST.

I think it would be cool if they took out some younger bands that are rising in the metal scene, I'd love to see a band like Havok or Battlecross open for them.

I'd love to see Megadeth and Jason Newsted & The Chophouse Band as the openers!

None. Hour And A Half Of The First 5 Albums. 30 Minute {Or Less} Metallifilm Hour And A Half Of The Last 5 Albums.
Edit: They are clearly in the "far too many songs for an hour and a half set" territory now.
"An Evening With Metallica" sounds nice.
