Pat Metheny - Far From Home
Awesome album. I love it how it slightly approaches to prog rock territory. Beautiful...
Porcupine Tree - Voyage 34
It is beautiful. Maybe not the most original among his works but given that this is heavily influenced by Pink Floyd, it delivers exactly what it promises. And it delivers it good. Demons & Wizards - III
This one is a very good heavy metal album. Delivers what is expected with a fresh sound, and continues the collaboration between Jon and Hansi really well.

Through the Never soundtrack. I cannot believe they didn't overdub Kirks God awful noodling for a fucking movie. He really is terrible.

Riverside Playlist
Well, it is not a full album but I'll see Riverside next week and created myself a possible setlist. They are one of the best modern prog rock bands. Top musicianship.

new Killers song! Such a great song! It's cool that the one playing the guitar solo is Lindsey Buckingham.
They did a great version of it on Jimmy Kimmel recently:

Liquid Rain - Bright Obscurity
Pretty good prog metal. I think you might enjoy this album if you like 6doit / Systematic Chaos era Dream Theater, but a little bit less heavy.

Hendrix - Machine Gun: Fillmore East show
I realise I am preferring Band of Gypsys and late Hendrix material over the Experience period.

i have lost count over the past week but a few:
afghan whigs - gentleman, congregation and 1965 listened to debonair once and then lost a day to repeating this records. so good. sad music you can dance to and drink to and other forms of irresponsibile behaviour to. my curse remains one of the more difficult tracks to listen, for all he can sing and confront that greg dulli wrote a song he couldn't bring himself to sing is flooring. more sad indie rock should aspire to be sexy and openly fucked up.
the national - high violet and boxer
the last time i was in any kind of lockdown was when i was locked in my house for 5 days after a major snowstorm hit scotland (this was in november and by april we still had remnants frozen to the pavement), i listened to boxer on repeat. so perhaps something entered my subconscious and i was drawn to this. high violet was a record i spent most nights the preceding summer listening to, locked in my room, so maybe there was something there too. both are very claustrophobic records very much blighted by bourgeois middle class sadness with moments of geniune and beautiful profundity within. bloodbuzz ohio was the song of early-2010s obama-ist democrat politics, england is sartorial and classy and fake empire was literally a campaign theme of the obama campaign (both ironically and appropriately). the national went from beer and wine sad to weed sad after these records which, while better for the health, really led to the band declining. these records remain special. oddly, tonight they (re)premiered a live video/concert from 2010 on youtube which remains excellent. it terrifies me that that record is 10 years old in a few weeks, as i bought it on release day and i forget i am now 26
the smiths - the queen is dead still the best record ever
the beautiful south - solid bronze - great hits paul heaton and dave rotheray are two of the finest lyricists to ever come from this country and the beautiful south rule. their covers are phenomenal too.
depeche mode - ultra i wanted it to be winter again when i played this.
smashing pumpkins - siamese dream 100 emoji
melvins - lysol and nude with boots just wanted riffs and noise and this is maybe the best for it. i love bands with two drummers and especially when they fucking use them.
i listened the fuck out of various menu themes from gran turismo 4 too because they are class and great music to write/cook/exist to.
i listened to tunes from less than a decade ago too (christ, nude with boots is 12 years all now too) but they were p much all on the radio.
The Moth Gatherer - The Earth is the Sky Fantastic post-metal album. Dunno how I missed this album until now. Will have to check out their discography. i am going to check this out because i love the name of the band Brian Fallon - Local honey ooh, how is it? i haven't had a chance to listen to it yet

Brian Fallon - Local honey ooh, how is it? i haven't had a chance to listen to it yet I liked it quite a lot. 6 out of 8 songs are really good. The other two were at least pretty good. The arrangements are quite stripped-down on this album throughout, which I don't mind at all really. The Weeknd - After hours Dua Lipa - Future nostalgia you're the third person i know who has listed those two records together. the folk i know irl say that these are both pretty ace records, so like with the brian fallon one, what's your verdict? Haha, interesting! I thought both were okay overall, with 3-4 standout tracks that are great. Especially on Dua Lipa's album.
Favorite tracks on each album (no order):
Dua Lipa:
Cool Physical Love again Boys will be boys
The Weeknd:
Hardest to love Scared to live Blinding lights

got a new phone yesterday so i went out and listened to tunes earlier eh
pavement - quarantine the past: the best of pavement people (nerds) often put down greatest hit compilations but the thing is, with greatest hits compilations you are usually guaranteed banger after banger. plus it is the only way i can listen to a foo fighters record. the thing with this record is that pavement are idiosyncratic yet consistent, songs that are various emotions and states of mind simultaneous with each other, spiky yet sweet, running the gambit of alternative guitar rock music. it's the start of spring and plague or not i am going to enjoy a walk, listening to pavement and drinking orangeade or if we're feeling fancy maybe even an irn bru; i was 16 when this comp dropped in march 2010 and even though i had already discovered pavement, i picked it up and adored it and so my feelings of this record are always tied up with the springtime and of long daze when there's nothing to do but to walk, sit on the grass, think and talk about everything. it's the coolest record ever and think you should all listen to it!!!!
health - health after pavement i got really into wanting to listen to some more noise and so i picked this album which has lots of noise and is also lots of fun.
cannonball adderly - the cannonball adderly quintet in san francisco
just a lovely concert. a few of the solos drag a wee bit but when the jazz is so lovely who is really caring? the version of spontaneous combustion on here is class and it always reminds me of goody two shoes by adam ant so i listened to that afterwards too.
err i also had a mix with like vampire weekend and khruangbin on because you see i am very very white.
lightning master i've listened to quite a bit of the new dua lipa record but not in its entirety yet. i'm really enjoying what i've heard so far however!
Do it! Their other albums are good too but that one is the best. IT'S REALLY NICE
nah for real though, i really liked that moth gathered record. i'm going to check them out more <3

Testament - Titans of Creation.
They delivered yet again! I say this is much better than the previous album. Killer riffs, awesome drumming, and Chuck Billy.

Joe Satriani - Shapeshifting my cd is yet to arrive from JB's. I ordered online to get a signed copy. I have listened to it once on youtube, 1980 stood out but not much else. I'll let it play through 7 times before I judge if it's better than What Happens Next which I liked.
