Metallica and Lou Reed - Lulu I was thinking about going through that album again. Why would you do that? Is someone forcing you? At gunpoint?

Wilderun - Veil of Imagination for those who look for some folk, progressive, symhponic and a bit of death metal.

orville peck has recently come to my attention and i'm a big fan. roy orbison vibes at points, bit of daughn gibson, a country rufus wainwright. it's by no means country country music, it's deliberately theatrical, perhaps a little camp, and wearing the dress of country aesthetics. it's well enjoyable however so i'm IN.
roddy woomble of idlewild has a new single out. i was honestly expecting more traditional folk but no...this is a spoken word piece put to music that sounds like an '80s education programme about nuclear energy (i saw these in school, that's the vibe), with a faint '70s horror vibe. sort of reminiscent of radiohead but with a northern scottish accent and bearable to my ears.
i appreciated the use of a shot from the oban-mull ferry in the video! and i'm looking forward to seeing this live in arbroath a few weeks from now.

no I haven't. I'm not a strong reader I keep going over the same lines when I read. have you read it? Nah, I saw the book in the library the other day and wondered if you knew it was any good. Will probably go back and pick it up at some point when I've got through the current pile.

Love this track. I wish instrumental metal was more common. I prefer good vocals to be present (including good growling if the case) but, idk, seems lacking these days, and a lot of these dudes are trying too hard with layering a ton of growling tracks over each other.

...And Este's bass face is entertaining as always. Completely unnecessary considering how lightweight the actual music and bass line is 😂 So let me ask this. The singer’s outfit: Using sex to sell music or a display of female empowerment designed to challenge a patriarchal society?

The singer’s outfit: Using sex to sell music or a display of female empowerment designed to challenge a patriarchal society? Hm, if anything the latter. I think it's cool how it shapes a heart. Furthermore Este eating her lipstick doesn't really scream sex to me, haha. The music video for the song is worth a watch and is directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.
